Poor performance after Jan. 29 update

Bug Info:
Since the latest update - January 29th / PC: 3.688.44.0
the game does not detect my steering wheel (MOZA R5) on the first “Start Game” confirmation. It only gets recognized after the second confirmation (“Continue”).
Additionally, I’m experiencing loading stutters, frequent in-game stutters/lags, worse overall performance, and I’ve had two random crashes (e.g. when entering races or opening the garage or Photomode).

Platform:
Windows PC - XBOX App

Edition: Premium
Account: solo account

PC GPU:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40480 SUPER, Treiberversion: 591.86 (27. January 2026)

Settings: 3440x1440, max settings, AA low, shadows high

Content Update:
All issues appeared after the latest update. Performance was smooth and stable before.

Same but i dont have crashes in this moment

Same here but FH5 doesn’t recognize the Moza R5 at all. It was working fine up until this update.

EDIT:

Was able to get the steering wheel to at least work. Had to reference “GameLaunchHelper.exe” in the FH5 install folder as the startup path in Moza Pit House, then launch the game from there.

GameLaunchHelper.exe is located in XboxGames\Forza Horizon 5\Content
