I found the High Low boring because the two sets of events were replicated…events should have differed between the two sets of events…cheers

Whoever makes these stories needs to go back and play the Horizon 4 stories. There’s quite a few that are miles better than the get from point A to point B in under x seconds.

e.g. in Horizon 4 it had some story missions where you had to stay on roads but to successfully 3 star you had to take calculated risks of briefly going off road. Not a single story like that in Horizon 5. Then very few stories in Horizon 5 where you have to achieve a certain skill score.

Why is it that almost every Event Lab event in the weekly playlist we’re just racing ourselves? There’s been some really great ones lately that would be so much more interesting if we had some competition.

Because it’s less work for them to set it up that way than spend what? 5 mins checking that drivatars ‘work’ on any particular Eventlab
You could do them in co-op mode for some competition,it is often fun (not always,granted)

Re: the stories for s22, I generally like the stories (not as good as fh4 tho) but I have zero interest in donut media and this series was a bit of a chore.

Forcing an extra two copies of a car on users when there is a hard cap on the garage was a…poor decision.

RE: the car pack, the price point was acceptable for the number of cars included that I was ok to pay for.

It was a pleasant series overall. Glad to see that two EventLabs every week are becoming a new standard (although I’d prefer competing with AI or against time rather than relaxed “hotlapping”), I liked PR stunts for cars other than S2 class as well.

Additional notes:

I enjoy stories when they’re centered strictly around some aspect of a car culture (like Made in Mexico). Donut Media Hi Low had some interesting points but in general it was rather boring, especially with identical final chapters for both Hi and Low part. I’d prefer more Pathfinder challenges instead of this story
I’d like to rate new rims but when trying to find them in the upgrade menu, the game turns into a slideshow so I leave them be
As for using expansions to earn Festival Playlist points, I love Sierra Nueva but I can’t endure loading separate map for just two events every week - with one of them usually being boring PR stunts for S2-class cars and the other being racing with AI and the annoying chopper. If only we had rallying instead of racing in seasonal championships there…

I wish that T10/PGG would concentrate their efforts into fixing those persistent problems with the base gameplay (like get the bloody AI sorted) rather than creating stories around a brand that I am certain many of us never even heard of before they appeared in FH5. I’ve never heard of Donut Media before now, and having been exposed to them in the game, I wish I still hadn’t heard of them. The DM story was boring. The DM dialogue was boring. The Hi/Low cars were boring. See a pattern here?

About the Barbie promotion…PURE RUBBISH!!! What did we get? A downsized EV Corvette and a duplicate EV Hummer with special graphics. I can think of literally hundreds of other cars I would have preferred to get in game, instead of a toy and a copy of a car we already have.

STOP ADDING CARS RETURNING FROM THE VERY PREVIOUS GAME INTO THE PLAYLIST

The Playlist should be reserved for actual new cars, maybe also cars that we haven’t seen in years, not cars that were available in Horizon 4 and then mysteriously disappeared from Horizon 5 at launch. Getting rid of cars like the AMG GT S or the Subaru Legacy makes zero sense to me considering all other cars from these manufacturers that appeared in Horizon 4 were available in 5 at launch. No amount of “oh they had to pay for licenses and stuff to get them” is a reasonable excuse to keep them timed exclusives for so long. At least put them back in the Autoshow with the new series update or after the Playlist ends. I shouldn’t have to play the game at a certain period to obtain a car that I could literally buy in the Autoshow of the previous game at any point.
If you want to bring back cars, bring back all Horizon 4 cars into the Autoshow at once, and the only returning cars I can see in the Playlist are those we haven’t seen for more than 10 years. Cars like the Ford GTX1, the Gumpert Apollo, the Mazda Furai, the Mitsubishi FTO, you can let them be somewhat rare, just fix the models though. Okay, if you’re running out of new cars to add and retexturing takes too long then previous XOne Forza games also have some interesting cars that certainly deserve to come back to the franchise, like the Lincoln Continental, the Audi R8 manual or the BMW E36 Compact. at this point just don’t add Horizon 4 cars to the Playlist.

A bit of a bug bear for me in general are the cars that came in late to FH4 that I really loved and then disappeared from FH5, in particular the Porsche 928 GTS and Mazda RX3. My fear is they will return late in FH5 and then disappear in FH6. I would rather sacrifice some 911’s, Ford Mustang’s and Ferrari’s for those mentioned.

Not necessarily. If you look at some of the None or not interested, or No results, it speaks volumes of people’s interest in certain things. Whether or not T10/PGG takes any notice, that is a different thing altogether.
