NASCAR Oval racing is severely hurt by the bad contact/bump drafting physics and the very powerful draft effect.
Bump draft needs to be more implemented like in Forza Motorsport 7, you can push without slowing down the car ahead of you during the straights and turns, but overall Update 14 has been amazing to play. ![]()

The nascar update is quite easily the best update content wise t10 has rolled out,but the overall physics of the game need overhauling for it to really be good, for starters as it stands bump drafting is not possible, and that is a core tennant of good racing with nascar, another issue is the contact physics in general are not even close to realistic, when someone gets hit in the quarter panel of their car they should be the ones spinning, not the car thats doing the hitting, the third key issue is the draft,at this moment the draft is too strong and as a result it invites on track chaos,if you made the strength of the draft weaker while also extending the distance of the drafts pulling range to 140-160 feet youll get a more balenced and easier to drive experience, adjusting the contact physics to be less rigid and making the draft more balenced will make a huge positive difference in the quality of racing not just in nascar but the overall experience, hopefully someone working on the game reads this
What’s the point of adding new features when the basics aren’t even there?
- where are the stats? Drivers want stats. I want to see how I am doing. Thought this was a serious racing game.
- Matte cars are still NOT matte when using hood view, after more than a year. In all honesty this is getting sad. I paid for this game and I kind of want my money back. Very distracting all these reflections on the hood
- player reporting features are abysmal.
I’d argue they are virtually non-existent given the hoops one is forced to jump through in order to report another player.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add previous decades NASCAR bodystyles (especially the 1970s and 1980s). Keep the stats all the same as the current gen in the game, just reskin the cars (i.e. Torino, Mercurys, Monte Carlo, Regal, Grand Prix, etc.). Let the Toyotas serve as the Buicks/Olds or use the Camaro to keep them GM. Whatever, just add them por favor!
Could definitely use some more tracks, too. Different flavors, like Pocono and Martinsville. Oh and definitely Charlotte (why is that not already in the game?) Outside of those few things the NASCAR multiplayer is top notch!
I really loved the NASCAR content had me playing the most. I’ve played on a long time but I think the one thing I had really appreciate is for left-hand side, right hand side, cartoon tuning for the NASCAR. I don’t know how much it would affect or how hard it would be to implement into the game Based on the current physics model but even left-hand side right hand side tire pressure adjustment would be great to have also I feel the need to have actual tire failures when the car tire wire hits 100% it sucked by trying to have done the right thing at Daytona And have a pitstop that I would be put so far back
Could it be boring because your AI difficulty is so low? I find all the races to be boring unless the AI are a 7.
I play at 8, so no. I firmly believe it’s the lack of upgrades, which I know now wasn’t a limitation of the events but a baffling omission from the normal UI flow.
Facts. A few months after launch they were starting to add more classes to race in open class, only to reduce them back to just one, with the excuse of the new multi class and cycled class series respectively. They’re good additions, don’t get me wrong, but why cut back on the content yet again instead of giving us the more options when they easily can just add all of them in? Hate when turn 10 does stuff like this ![]()
well they reduce number of avaliable class events to make them look less “empty” but the problem is, players that play specific class, will not play different class event just becouse class they want to race in is unavaliable, they will just leave game and play something else [like me].
Personaly i just want to play as i always did in forza, tune car i want to the class i want and test in in multiplayer… but i can’t do it, cuz theres only one class avaliable, and multiclass is like doing rivals [cuz everyone else is too slow]
I’ve played forza motorsports seriously since FM2. What I would love to see in following updates is:
- a garage shop with exclusive cars where you can win a special edition of that car with a point to buy another one every time you win a timebound championship. Like the way horizon works with backstage passes.
- Bring the all fantasy tracks back, I miss them so much, they were amazing!
- take us along for a ride in a real career mode with some cool features like pit advice over the radio giving you the basics for pit strategy while playing
- Stop reusing old car models presenting them as new to horizon cars, and if I’m getting this wrong and you’re actually putting a bunch of work in to update these cars for the new Forza, let us know so we can appreciate your work.
They’re likely adjusting the availability of events based on overall player engagement, as well as an attempt to optimise matchmaking behaviours.
When you have more lobbies open, you have fewer average players per lobby, which causes bigger skill/safety gaps between players.
With PDXCE, they seem to have taken the 5 least popular classes and put them on a daily rotation, instead of having them take up a full week slot.
B, A, S and R are all popular enough to sustain a week-long series, but probably not popular enough for multiple series to be up at the same time.
tldr: the game probably doesn’t have enough active players in Featured Multiplayer to support “all classes all the time”
Give this a vote, it’s a potential solution: Searchable public custom lobbies (like FM4)
So, with all the games shortcomings, you want reskinned versions of cars in game, along with identical stats?
Okay
