What do you think of the Spectate Mode features added in Update 12?

I am happy that it exists as it gives late joiners something to do while waiting for the next race.

What do you think of the Weather options added to Free Play and Private Multiplayer in Update 12?

Overall good, but still lacking the total freedom of Forza Motorsport 7 in which you could manually set up races that go from total dry to total wet, and back to dry again.

What do you think of Forza Race Regulations since Update 12?

Good.

Which Multiplayer Series did you like most?

  • Mid-Engine Production - B

Which Multi-Class combo did you like most?

My Club did the following (we race on Mondays):

  • Mid-Engine Production - B
  • Mid-Engine Production - A
  • Forza Touring Cars
  • Forza GT2
  • BM1 M1 Procar Spec Series

Mid-Engine Production in B and A were quite good as there was a lot of build variety present. I didn’t try out the upper class ones in later weeks but from what I read they were closer to the standard Open Class events in terms of what cars were popular.

The BMW M1 Procar Spec series was almost universally disliked in my community. The idea is good (it’s a cool car) but in Forza Motorsport it’s a very difficult car to drive. Our more casual players dropped out early due to frustration, and the more experienced players found it mentally exhausting, especially wheel users.

Forza Touring Cars and Forza GT2 are good as always, but it’s difficult to find good tuning setups for cars in either with the filters the game currently provides. There’s no way to filter search results to builds that are currently legal, so you have to muddle through dozens of ineligible ones and hope that the Spec ones you do find are decent.

Touring Cars was medium race length, on the week we did it. There is one clearly viable strategy at that race length, involving a particular car and no pitstops. It’s a fun car to drive and would make for a great spec series, but it does limit the competitive viability of the other cars in the category.

What did you think about car performance balance in Multiplayer events?

As mentioned numerous times in the past, Forza’s PI system is fundamentally broken and cars of the same PI rating should (in theory) have the same performance on all tracks. They don’t and “the game” is to find the cars and builds that the system is more generous towards.

I’m okay with playing “that game” (finding the optimal strategy can be fun) but cars of the same rating ideally shouldn’t be multiple seconds faster/slower than one another (this is before tyre compounds are factored in, which exaggerate the issue).

Spec series seem mostly well balanced now but they have their own set of issues, namely that said specs cannot be tested in Free Play, and that they often have car-specific handicaps/boosts that cannot be replicated.

What do you think of the Tire Wear Scalar in Featured Multiplayer?

I’m fine with it. Maybe 5.0x would be best all-round as 6.0x was too aggressive and 4.0x seems too lenient.

The 3 new cars are a very fine addition. Big fan of the widebody Camaro. Been waiting for the Artura for months by then. And this Lambo is nice.

This was around the time I stopped playing Feature Multiplayer. Reasons are tire wear multipliers and ramming from other players. It’s just not fun for me.

Still waiting for more content for Freeplay. Custom car list is my number one request on it.

I think the Challenge Hub is aggressively meh. Really, the only good thing about it is it gives an option for other people to get FOMO cars from multiplayer. Otherwise, the challenges aren’t interesting, the payout are laughable, and for my taste having multiplayer-only challenges is a non-starter.

Beyond that, FOMO features are still a thing, and it still needs to stop, and I won’t stop bringing it up.

Oh, and thanks to, or maybe because of, the challenges, I did some feature rivals and spotlight rivals, and I have to say, having to drive a car bone stock with no suspension upgrades is not pleasant at all.

The biggest improvement with update 12 was the communication with the player base took a step in the right direction, though that seemed to all come to a stop with U13.

Even though update 12 was pretty light on content, the better communication from T10 gave me hope that things were heading in the right direction.

Then U13 dropped with some major issues, and it feels like it has been radio silence ever since.

Overall it was ok. Too light on content. 3 new cars are nice but only 3 cars is a bit of a downer. Update 14 and beyond need more cars added besides 2 or 3. If PGG can add more cars in FH5 per update you guys can too. The theme was ok but a little too generic. I like the current month theme as it’s more specific and facts and details are givin out about the Mustangs history and legacy. I’d like to see more of that. Update 12 didn’t have a lot of replay ability to me. It wasn’t terrible but it didn’t motivate me to want to play it. I’m sure there are some that thoroughly enjoyed it and that’s cool and all. I just wasn’t pumped for it. But that’s just me.

As of now the Huracan Evo spider is dead last in which cars did you like most.

I’d really love a dev explanation on how, when we’re only getting 2-3 new cars an update, they rationalize a convertible version of a car already in game and the top doesn’t even work, that probably wasn’t even in top 100-200 in car voting.

Update 12… it was so long time ago, please give me a moment to recap…

Ah, yes, the Challenge Hub! A great addition, exactly what the game needed. Challenges were not very creative at first but with Update 13 I can see they’re getting better

Also new cameras in replays gave me something to do for a couple of hours, “point of interest” views are another welcomed addition. I just wish there were more of those points around some longer tracks (especially Nordschleife). And that tracks had more pleasant environment to look at.

Unfortunately, that’s pretty much it in terms of the good stuff. Improvements to AI and FRR seemed minor at best, new cars were disappointing too (especially the Huracan Evo Spyder). And I was sad when I realized that we cannot have races with fully dynamic weather, transitioning from blue sky to heavy rain and vice versa.

My biggest complaint though is the fact that there was only one, vague introduction cinematic in the Mid-Engine Tour in the career mode (the same goes for the Mustang Tour in Update 13). I know it’s a non-essential feature but it gave the game something akin to a soul and made it stand out from the crowd of racing games. Now we’re getting just random sets of races with specific car restrictions, nothing to be excited about.
I was complaining about the amount of races in the Road to Race Tour from Update 11 but at least it contained 8 cool cinematics. Completing the Mid-Engine Tour turned out to be more of a chore actually, with just races and no flair added.

Please add the following options for this setting

-Completely random weather (dry and wet) so even the host can´t tell whats coming (also make sure that the weather info is displayed as “random” on the event setting page for everyone

-50% changes of weather changes, currently the only % values close to “50%” are 40% and 60% for each setting, i dont understand why can be 50%

you need to understand that the magic of the weather is that they can change the race completely, and this need be also completely random for all players when we want to do so.

thanks!

just wish they would work on single player as much as they do multiplayer. single player content is lacking.
