Horizon Retrowave was definitely one of the best updates so far. More music is always appreciated, and especially synthwave that makes for perfect ambient in menu and even when driving (I usually play with radio turned off so that it doesn’t interfere with engine sounds).

It was also one of the best sets of new cars added so far. Citroen BX 4TC is a wonderfully surprising gem, I’m also very happy to have BMW M635 and Lotus Esprit '80 back. Countach and Hyundai N Vision 74 are great additions as well but less exciting to me, since Lambo drives just like any other modern AWD Lambo in the game, while Hyundai is an EV.

As for evolving world features, retrowave decorations were nice but I prefer permanent additions to the game. Map in Forza Horizon 5 feels very stagnant now, especially when compared to The Crew Motorfest (have you heard that Ivory Tower is expanding the map for free with second big island in November?). I hope PG is preparing more dynamic environment for Forza Horizon 6…

Still the wrong cars listed

I think I said this in the last feedback thread, but when you include a daily challenge for horizon arcade in X vehicle, participation skyrockets. I want this to happen much more often! Arcades still don’t compare at all to forzathon live numbers, but I always love it when you include these challenges because it drives arcade numbers up.
Strangely enough, the playlist task for horizon arcade doesn’t have the same effect on the playerbase. I’m not sure why this is.

And yes, this update was great. From the theme to the cars to the new radio station.

completely agree

I will take any instrumental music, the stupidity of the lyrics in most songs - especially in this game - is unbearable.

I’m the opposite. I have so many Forzathon points I’ll never use them. To be honest if I have to do Arcade, I prefer it on my own, get it done quickly.

Please make Playground games a weekly optional item. I can’t stand doing the Eventlab events because it seems like most of them are just intentionally built to be annoying. Most of those courses, creators have spent WAY more time on asthetics than they did focusing on drivability. I would much rather do playground games instead. I know a lot of ppeople don’t like PGG, but a lot of people also don’t like to play these user levels either. Why not always have both, so that way I can still get enough points from playing events that I actually enjoy instead of forcing me to play those mind-numbingly LONG and poorly designed race tracks. If I want to do a race where I focus more on the scenery than driving my car, then I will go look for those type of events. PLEASE stop making us do those!!

I will miss Retrowave for the evolving world effects, which just added some color, character, and flash to an otherwise stagnant environment. I love the Retrowave theming and station. It gave the game a whole different chill vibe.

Thinking ahead, maybe more evolving worlds in this location tied to the Street Scene Outpost.

I know it’s not Mexico, but this was art and I loved it.

FWIW, Retrowave brought me back to FH5. I much prefer FH4 - location, music, general look and feel - but Retrowave’s exclusive cars, music, and scenery absolutely knocked it out of the park.

But now it’s done, so… back to the UK for me!

I tested one of next seasons eventlabs… 4 laps, over 6 minutes. hard pass. luckily we almost never get a 40 point car, and the 20 points can be done with random tasks plus 1 or 2 races

Retrowave will go fown as my favorite update of all time in Forza. I absolutely loved everything about it and it was genuinely a challenge to rank my favorite bits in the polls. The radiostation had me just cruising the map again and the following DLC (universal studios) that had even more 80s cars, particularly the YJ Jeep, gave me even more reason to cruise around enjoying my 80s nostalgia again. I was sad to see retrowave go, but I know things cant stay around forever, I really appreciated this season though.

On a side note, with the Jeep YJ added, yall now have quite a few serious 4x4s in there, it’d be nice if the countryside was more realistic and climbable to enjoy these 4x4s, like rocks that dont have ghost crashboxes (crashboxes that match the models would be nice so they’re climbable).

Please make the Retrowave atmosphere available again, even if it’s a switch ON/OFF thing!!! :face_holding_back_tears:
I see, the atmosphere BPM switch is still there, but does nothing anymore…
We want Retrowave neons back!!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Playground games take longer to complete than Eventlab races that typically can be completed in less than 5 minutes, and I wouldn’t want PG games to take the place of a seasonal championship.

Every time I try to play it was dark. I hate it everyone leaves except the hard core geeks. The game is no fun in the dark when you can’t find other players and can’t see a darn thing. I absolutely hate the night time. I wish there was a way to choose to never see night. That would be awesome. Also the majority of people playing don’t vote or give feedback they just leave and play something else. All you need to do is look at the live players list to figure that out. Night time is way too long….it’s boring. Also use appropriate cars for the race. If it’s on dirt use rally cars. If it’s on the road, use road cars. I hate sedans on dirt tracks and cars don’t match The track they should be on that’s just dumb and makes no sense. There are so many good cars that never get used for the track they should be on.

I don’t agree with him wanting to make Playground Games a weekly option, but I do get his point on the EventLabs. Many of them are pretty to look at and no doubt took a lot of time and effort to create, but a lot of them are horrid to drive on, let alone race on. I think most of the EventLab creators would make better building architects and city planners than they would track designers.
