With 62% of votes in favor of a Quality of Life update, it’s clear how much improvement this game needs to reach its former glory again—beyond just adding cars, tracks, and contents (the game still feels lifeless). So, here are my wishes (I’m sharing these with a glimmer of hope)
-
ALMS, BTCC, DTM, JTCC, Indy, NASCAR, Rally, Drift cars, Drag cars, and many more—there’s an endless list if I keep going. I’m sure many of us want these iconic cars from these championship series. Plus, adding themed events based on these cars would elevate the gameplay significantly.

In addition to the current tracks in the game, I’d love to see all the tracks from previous Motorsport titles that are missing. Tracks like Fujimi Kaido, Camino Viejo de Montserrat, Iberian International Circuit, Infineon Raceway, Ladera Test Track, Rally di Positano, Tsukuba Circuit, Sedona Raceway Park, Twin Ring Motegi, New York City Circuit, Bernese Alps, and the Top Gear Test Track, just to name a few.

The introduction of FOMO is one of the main reasons why the game feels dry now. It should be removed, and all past events and rewards should be made permanent. Doing so would bring the game back to what it used to be (what I mean is the career mode was engaging at it’s finest). In the past, like in FM3 and FM4, all events and rewards were available permanently. The experience was challenging, fun, and allowed us to choose the events we wanted to participate in. The events felt refreshing and unique, and we could play for hours without getting bored.

The addition of Drift mode is great, but there are plenty of other modes that should make a comeback. One of the most important and crucial ones is drag racing and drag events. After all, what’s the point of having drag tires in the game if you can’t use them?

The visuals in this game feel shallow and bland every time I launch it. I’d love to see more custom-designed visuals in the Homespace, similar to FM4’s Homespace, where the menu bar automatically hides and lets the car look clean from all angles. It would also be great to have the option to choose different Homespace designs. As for the soundtracks, they feel pretty boring to me. Why not give players the option to select soundtracks from previous Motorsport games, along with the ability to create custom playlists with their own songs?

One aspect that’s definitely missing is Autovista (I know, I’m getting nostalgic here). Yes, the iconic Autovista from FM4, where we could explore legendary cars up close, start their engines, and hear those high-revving engine sounds scream to life. We could even rev the engines ourselves, just like in FM5 and FM6. And of course, the legendary commentary by Jeremy Clarkson that made the whole experience so much more immersive. I think the addition of Top Gear in FM4 really brought this element to life, giving us a unique and memorable way to appreciate cars. Bringing back this feature with modern improvements could bring so much personality to the game. Imagine a deeper integration of these features, where we can interact with cars in ways that go beyond just racing them. It could be a great opportunity to explore car history, performance, and design, with even more iconic cars and fresh commentary. It would add a lot of character to the game and would definitely give us the players a more immersive and enjoyable experience beyond the races.
- And lastly, the most important one, an update to all the car audio which me and others have been talking about. We want the car sounds to be realistic, authentic, raw, visceral and heart pumping (Just like FM2, FM3, and FM4). Nobody wants inaccurate, wrong and synthetic digitalized car sounds. I shared a long post on this yesterday which you can check it out here
( Let's talk about audio - #1083 by Gojo665 ) and many other posts about car sound issues.
I could go on with many other wishes for the game, but if I were to create my own update, I’d include these which I mentioned above along with the ones others have suggested in this post.
