Poll: Do you like the new car XP/level progression upgrade system?

That is VASTLY more preferable to being FORCED to level a car before you can do anything with it.

With the CR, at least I get to choose what I do while I play the game, and it feels like I’m actually being rewarded for my time playing.

The best hoppers right now are the ones with actual race cars, and those are all BoP hoppers, so there’s literally nothing I gain from doing those aside from CR. What am I supposed to use it on? I already have enough money to buy most of the cars in the game, so what’s the point?

I will keep ranting here, nobody is forcing you to read my rants or those of others. I got no idea what you are trying to achieve here. I mean it’s obvious a lot of ppl really HATE the system. Just let us do our thing. Don’t tell ppl it won’t do anything, because you don’t know that. If the majority says they hate it, maybe they remove this horrible system.

The issue is that the gameplay loop encourages farming. Just bad design.

The way it’s currently set up, you can’t even go have a race against friends in whatever cars unless you each go grind out a singular car for a few hours to get the builds how you want them. Just a bad system in general.

Just think about it. If you’re totally optimal about leveling up your cars, it’ll realistically take around 3hrs to get each car to level 50. Multiply that by literally 500 and counting to get every car max level.

So a person that’s solely focused on being a completionist would have to spend a MINIMUM of 1500hrs without even attempting to make use of any of the other things that the game has to offer.

It already HAS made a difference lmao. They already lowered the level requirements for all the upgrades, so of course “shouting about it now” is the thing to do.

What are we supposed to do? Just allow them to ignore the community? The game will never be set on the correct path if we just sit back and do nothing.

Oh i am sorry that i didn’t gave a crap about the game months ago. All i knew was the release date, i hoped for a FM that is like FM7 but a bit better. I think most ppl hoped for just a better game. But NO it’s worse.

Well, it’s certainly a better game at base value, if you ignore the “progression” if we’re honest.

The physics are the best they’ve ever had, and the general structure of online racing is very good.

The cars are always gonna be a point of contention since they obviously want to keep on adding new cars, and that usually means that a slot held by an older car is taken. Generally, though, the car selection in the game is perfectly fine. Nearly all the key players are in the game, and we don’t have weird stuff like rally cars, trucks, or minivans this time.

I seen some very weird “physics” bugs happening, i liked FM7’s physics more tbh.

You don’t get it THE SOONER they fix it, the less reputation dmg and the more players come back into the game. Many ppl really HATE it and stopped playing the game because of it.

So it’s my fault for not reading about a game in forums months before release. Because i did expect just a sequel with not much changes? Yeah totally makes sense.

It’s a racing game, usually racing games are just like the previous games. I mean it’s a racing game…

They’ve already made changes to the base gameplay loop MUCH more quickly than ever before. I don’t know why you don’t see that if you’ve been playing Forza for a long time.

They’ve literally never changed something about the base gameplay loop in a week before, and they need to keep on changing it in order to retain the playerbase as best as possible.

PGG essentially ignored the entire community, and the game died off within just a couple months. T10 seems to have taken that to heart and are making changes more quickly with FM.

Why you feel the need to “reason” with me? How about you just move on to another topic and annoy somebody else? I will put you on the blocklist now, i got enough of it bye.

It literally is though. Most people don’t care that much about graphical glitches, especially compared to what the base gameplay has to offer. If the game doesn’t incentivize you to play, nobody’s gonna play it.

People know the bugs are gonna get fixed over time, but that doesn’t do anything for people if the game isn’t fun to play. T10 knows they need to listen to the community this time around.

Homie just doesn’t seem to understand that glitches are only minor issues.

I think the dissapearing textures etc. is mostly an AMD problem. I never had it happen. That shouldn’t be a big deal to fix that.

I mean, of course they were always gonna commit to releasing the system they designed. We played it for nearly 2 weeks and it was trash, and they already changed part of it.

The forum topic to do with progression is easily and by far the most active thread for the game right now, so they really can’t ignore it.

I honestly expect further changes will be made to it within a month.

I’ve never had it happen either. My only issues now are just when the game hangs in a couple different areas. Applying a tune, design, etc.

I haven’t downloaded tunings yet, but never had it hang if i downloaded liveries. The game once crashed to desktop without any error message, after i wanted to apply some upgrade changes. But yeah it only happened once.

I think i just did more than 80 laps on Spa to max out my Ford GT. It took at least 3 hours probably a bit more.

If i make the screenshot with my x-box controller (the button in the middle) it isn’t washed out like if i make it with steam screenshots.

After i completely maxed out the car, i did a lap with 2:19 something, with racing spoiler, AWD and V12 engine. Well just everything maxed, so yeah i scraped off another 2 seconds or something from the lap time on the screenshot. I probably could have done a 2:18 after a while too. But oh boy this chorepoints farming really burns me out. It’s such horrible game design.

You seem to forget that FM7 released with super crappy loot boxes and other things that were “integral to the base function of the game” and yet they ripped that out right away when met with outrage. The same will happen here, one absolutely stupid design decision is totally and completely ruining this game, they will remove it, it’s only a matter of time.

You could hand wave the loot boxes away as simply a legal isssue, BUT they also removed the free ones that used in-game credits and not real money too. Those are not subject to the same legal problems. They were removed altogether because the community hated them too. Same with the “booster cards”. This will all come to pass with car leveling too.

Turn 10 needs to understand they are making Madden/FIFA for cars. We want the same game, every year with the new cars for the year, new tracks, and maybe some tiny tweaks here and there. Nothing needs to be overhauled or re-invented, they nailed the Forza formula already and need to stop trying to alter it.
