There are critical issues in the multiclass racing and timed race systems that break the intended experience. Immediate fixes are needed:
Multiclass Racing
No Class Limits:
Players can select an unlimited number of cars per class, creating an unbalanced field. There should be structured limits, such as three classes with up to eight drivers each, to ensure fair and competitive racing.
Staggered Rolling Starts:
Faster classes should start with a delay to prevent interference at the start. This would allow traffic management to happen naturally during the race.
Timed Races
Lap-Based Tracking:
The race should be based on laps completed, not just distance covered. Total race time should only serve as a tiebreaker for drivers on the same lap.
Time Penalties:
Penalties should be added to the final race time, rather than being calculated by distance, to accurately reflect lost time.
Final Lap Procedure:
When the countdown reaches zero, all drivers should be allowed to complete a final lap. The race ends when the leader crosses the finish line, and other drivers should finish their current lap before their times are recorded.
Lapped Cars:
In lap-based races, once a car is one or more laps behind, it should not continue racing until the final race timer runs out. Currently, lapped cars continue racing unnecessarily, which prolongs the race unrealistically. When the leader finishes the race, cars that are one or more laps down must finish their current lap. Their participation in the race ends once they cross the line after completing their lap.
I will leave the related posts where they request these fixes. Vote and comment to show your support for these changes, so hopefully we can get them in Update 18 or 19.
