We know that won’t happen because the Microsoft/PGG policy today is to increase user engagement. So this is not a wish list, just an expression of opinion.
The reason I want these cars added to autoshow is simple. I don’t have room in my garage anymore, I don’t want my garage to be filled up with return exlusive cars.
Unlike FH4, FH5 obviously makes it harder to get old exclusive cars. Because of this situation, I am unable to let go of that car even if I don’t need it much.
Therefore, my garage has already started the countdown to the 1,000 car limit. The process of deciding which cars will be sacrificed for the ever increasing number of exclusives cars is also very difficult.
If many cars from Abarth, Fiat, Alfa, and Lancia are added as exclusive cars, this situation will get worse and worse. Just like the nightmare of Extreme E.
If these cars are added to autoshow, I can use the space in my garage more effectively without having to buy them while I don’t need them.
If they are not willing to add more garage space, or if it is technically difficult to add more, then please stop trying to make this situation worse.
I agree with this sentiment, but remember, this is Playground and Microsoft we’re talking about. Player metrics are the name of the game. I will gladly admit that I am wrong tomorrow though if they decide to pull a fast one and do something, for the lack of a better word, correct.
I agree. I wish they would make all the seasonal exclusives available in the autoshow. It would make more sense if the cars were in the autoshow. The playlist would be an option to get the cars for free.
I don’t have time to sit in front of the tv all day long.
Also it makes it a lot harder when the game crashes and loses all your progress on the playlist.
Another option would be make a dlc for the seasonal cars:
While I agree they should always be in the auto show it’s up to you to manage your own garage so it doesn’t get like that. It easily shows you duplicates.
honestly this is not a legit expectation. dozens of cars were switched from auto show to playlist exclusive since FH4, and vise-versa. not sure why these brands would be treated differently.
playlist prizes take about 10 minutes to acquire, you usually don’t even have to do a single race, just photos, forzathon, and pr stunts, etc
There are almost no unnecessary duplicates in my garage.
Of course there are duplicates but those are my favorite models and those are the cars I need to enjoy it in different tunes and livery.
And since some of them include exclusive cars, I can’t give them away even more so.
That is why the current situation is very painful.
We all know they’re making them exclusive to boost ‘engagement hours’
But I think it would be fair if they’d just put the cars in the autoshow a season or two later
Not an excuse, and no they don’t. Best case scenario is 45 minutes to an hour, minimum; Horizon Arcades are not always available as point requirements, and even if they were, doing all of those plus the week’s showcase car won’t get you over the 20-point hump, necesitating running at least one championship. Sure, if you find racing that abhorrent, you could do all of that and then do the daily challenges. But then you’re stretching that task out over the course of an entire week and at least one of them is going to involve racing anyway.
But all of that is beside the initial point, which is that this is a poor excuse to justify permanent timegating of content.
Idk i have gotten the seasonal car faster. Fastest time i ever got the exclusive was 19 mins. Trial worth 10 points your already half way and flew through the pr stunts with fast travel
I just wish they would stop putting new cars behind 40 points/160 points in the playlist. Especially this late in the game’s life when most players have already switched over to the 20 point routine which is actually a nice break each week. 40 points guarantees we need to do events we don’t like doing, that we skip every week to get 20, and it takes twice as long to achieve. It turns something I should be excited for into something I’m annoyed by and dreading because I’ll probably never see these cars again.
I would love for PG to tell us exactly how many players actually do the playlist. However we will have to settle for common sense and garage limitations forcing players to only do what they need up until now. Even more so the longer the player has been playing the game.
Most people in the weekly threads are the literal few who complete the Festival Playlist from start to finish every week regardless of the content on offer. A lot of them are also tuners, which seems to be the main subculture of the Forza fandom that invests more time into the game than they really need to.
