I am having a severe issue with the PI limit for each career series not being displayed or easily found when playing career, for instance if you select a car for the series ie a gallardo in the R series that I chose to use in the stormfront shootout series so I decided I would load a tune from someone to try and help my chances so I went to the get tunes option and downloaded some tunes to try and found one that sounded good to me so I chose to accept the upgrade costs(not cheap) and went to start the race to find my car was illegal for the race as it had exceeded the PI for the series. The problem is at no time was I told this would be unsuitable for the race series I was going in to or that I was wasting the credits that I don’t have huge amounts of to find my car would be invalid until I tried to start the race by which time it’s too late and very costly. I find it ridiculous that the series menus doesn’t show the PI limit of the class, also the next event race screen doesn’t show the limit, only your chosen cars current PI or indeed the tuning screen which should perhaps make you aware of your current chosen career series and it’s limit and I appreciate some people will say well people tune to the class limit for (in this case R level) cars etc and I understand that but I am saying that the screen should make you aware of both your current series limit and also the current car classes PI limit in order for you to be able to best decide where to spend your limited funds and not go over the targeted amount the game requires you to be at , as an illegal car expense can be very costly when you exceed the series PI limits and we don’t all have huge amounts of credits to waste.
It’s ridiculous that simple things like this weren’t better thought out by Turn 10. I normally switch to a car that doesn’t fit the series I want to run, so it prompts to choose a car when I select the series. Opt to buy a new car and you will see the list of cars that qualify. These are also auto-upgraded for the series restrictions so you can guess the PI limit. I don’t like the auto-upgrade builds, so I back out of the menus and go buy the car I want through the “Find Cars” menu, then go back into the series with the car stock. It should prompt you to upgrade, if you select manual upgrade it will then tell you the series restrictions. The only problem with this is it won’t prompt you to upgrade if the car in stock form is close to the series PI limit.
