PG, please make more reasonable seasonal trials, you really should know better by now

I had a chance of having a team showing with almost only X Class cars and actually able to handle it.

Though i did help a little bit : Once i was 1st on each race, i zigzaged to slow drivatars down so the slowest could catch up lol ^^ !

The setup (open plus insane AI) of this trial is just BS. Did win in the third attempt but only because we rammed the AI into oblivion in the last two races.

It isn’t clear that you can choose a lower class car and still be competetive as in the AI matches your choice, I’ve not come across a festival trial like this before even in FH4 but I only played that since this summer. If this was actually explained to players I doubt that we would be seeing as many issues with players and the trial this week.

Seasonal trials are always a pain, due to people being idiots and showing up driving cars they can’t possibly handle. While you can’t expect people to be reasonable and not to ruin the game experience, developers still can and should take responsibility and mitigate this. Case in point, current “A Fine Addition” trial, which is unwinnable with randoms, hands down:

1. It’s basically not class-restricted, which guarantees that at least one idiot will show up in a X-class car
2. If that wasn’t bad enough, most of the other idiots will pick a S2 class car, that they probably still can’t handle.

The obvious solution would be to block X (and ideally S2) class from Trials. Unbeatable drivatars are enough of a challenge in lower classes, in higher they’re almost impossible, even with a team of friends that can drive. Seriously, after 5 FH games, I really think you should know better, PG.

What??? are you telling me you can pick whatever car you want?? no car class restriction??? just… lol. If thats true, then that trial is completely impossible to win, because i guess that the AI will be all of em S2/X, right? loooooool.

Lastly STOP BLAMING BEGINNERS AND OTHER PLAYERS for terrible gameplay designs. Its getting old at this point.

No, thats not how it works… the trial match all the drivers, if there is one X class, 2 S2 and everything else B the AI will be the same… I did it on X class senna because it was recommended when I search for solutions on google…

And yes I agree is a really bad gameplay designs but you cant stop blaming other players, and I mean players that think the brakes are useless and they try to make the curves crashing, most of the time on you, when you try to compete normally. From all my tries till I did it, all of them we had drivers going nuts, not braking in curves or crashing on you on purpose, and thats a problem as well… I did it in the end not because I had a good team, but because they started ragequitting after seeing the unbeatable AI drive like rockets or they just crash again and again. In the end we did it because with 2 drivers the points are enough to win even if I end 3rd and my teammate 4th.

Im sorry but even being a really bad game design… dont use the brakes is not a solution and you throw the other players races, I dont considere myself a good driver but I can defend myself… if that is the way they drive I can suggest them to try Wreckfest game on steam. Its pretty obv most of the time they do that to do the same S* a lot of ppl di on FH4 the wallriding.

open class is a really bad idea in coop with randoms. I hope this isn’t the new formula for trials. keep it class restricted, and don’t be afraid of having a c-class trial, there so many cars that need some love.

Agreed. I got lucky on this one. A program on my PC decided to notify me of an update mid-first race. So I lost, and everyone else sucked. I stuck with it for races 2 and 3. Everyone else quit after the first race and I managed to win the next 2 races to win the Trial. The RWD S2 Senna with TCS is mint.
