Don’t know if this has been done before, but I would like to start a petition asking Turn 10 to fix they multiplier menus. As they stand right now, the process of selecting cars or loading tunes is a nightmare. Turn 10 please fix this.
Recently if I try to scroll through cars (the most unresponsive menu I’ve ever seen) everything freezes, screen goes black and I’m thrown out of the lobby. Back to the hopper selection menu.
So I can’t even go race to SEE those wreckers and rammers…
You have to wait until the track is loaded and then pray that there is enough time left to switch the car.
Changing cars while the track is loading has a somewhat 90% chance of freezing and getting kicked for me.
It’s been a long time since I last saw such a crappy MP menu.
Yeah, I was just thinking it was about the (awful) loading track (issue). I will try it.
By the way, a few days ago I deleted A LOT of liveries (either applied to cars or just laying there as saved file), then I tried to scroll through my garage offline and online, in the lobby screen…and I thought the scrolling was somewhat faster than before. The few times the lobby didn’t crash for me, I saw this little improvement.
I don’t know if it’s a placebo effect, but everyone with the same problem as mine should try to delete liveries they don’t use, even on cars they don’t use.
One thing for sure: there’s no lag in the offline car dealership.
Probably because of what I believe: new cars in the dealership don’t have custom liveries made by US, so all the layers don’t have to load on the 3d car models. I know in the dealership there are race cars with their own default liveries, but that might be another story. And in any case, there are a lot less default liveries in the car dealership, than default+custom liveries in our own garage.
This is what we have to deal with right now.
There’s no denying that T10 must fix it.
Best bet see what is open and then sellect your car and then enter the hopper I have that problem with Leagues some times will get kicked to lobby or Black screen of death when sellecting a car.
The days of good English has went! In MP I just drive the truck, keep well back on the first corner, and take great pleasure when wreckers spin themselves out attempting to ram me.
I agree that something needs to be done about the wreckers. But lets please try and stay on topic. If you agree, please sign, otherwise please talk about the wreckers in another thread.
I completely agree the menus are so glitch abd Laggy it’s not really worth changing car or tune. It’s much easier to back out when a power track comes up then changing car
A petition? Like Turn 10 are obligated to do anything. Don’t get it twisted though, the car selection is maddening, but they are not going to change it.
I play on the original Xbox one and the menu lag is unbearable. I have to spam the A button to get through the menu’s as fast as possible just to have half a chance to change into a different car.
Does upgrading to the Xbox one x make the menu’s any faster? I’m thinking of getting one but if it makes no difference then I probably won’t bother.
I don’t think you want to spend hundreds of dollars, euros or whatever just for a faster menu. What if “someone” says it does get faster, but if fact it doesn’t, and it’s just to make you buy a new product?
I tried at my friend’s house Forza 7 on the X one X, LG 55" with all the latest technology… Well, my reaction was, literally: “that’s it??? That’s all the difference a new console and the latest tv model can make? Are you kidding me?” By the way, he has an external storage for games. I read somewhere on this forum that everything in the game would load faster…Isssh, from what I saw it’s quite the opposite.
I play Forza 7 on the normal Xbox one, my tv is a Sharp X20E 46" from 2008 and I still believe that the “new” xbox X is still not worth the money, and hype.
It’s not like jumping from PS1 to PS2, or PS2 to PS3. It’s just a little smoother graphically, and while you drive in Forza, you don’t even see the difference. So why bother?
Anyway, it’s T10 who must fix it the issue for all platforms the game is running on.
To me this sounds like the old iphone batteries getting drained on purpose by Apple to force people to buy the new model. With the only difference here that you don’t know if it’s gonna get better.
But as I wrote above, if you try to scroll through cars in the car dealership offline, there’s no lag at all. Am I wrong?
Try for yourself and see the difference between scrolling in the dealership and scrolling in your garage.
That’s why I’m saying it’s the fault of all the custom liveries we apply. (actually it’s T10’s, but anyway)
The 3d background in lobbies that needs to change every time the track changes, doesn’t help. That’s worth mentioning.
