Personal Flow (fka Fibertel Argentina) connection issues

While this has been a longstanding discussion for almost a year, I feel the new Suggestions Hub could be a new opportunity for the issue described below to be formally acknowledged and addressed by PGG.

Fibertel Argentina connection issues - Forza Horizon 5 / FH5 Troubleshooting - Official Forza Community Forums

Ever since FH5 launch and up to the latest version, users of the ISP have been completely unable to play MP. This affects all household connections unrestrictive of wired/wireless, console/PC or network settings. Mentioning households as the same ISP also offers mobile data (4G) which can connect and play online via tethering without any issues whatsoever.

Other online features like auction houses, designs and tunes, rankings, etc. all work alright, but any kind of attempt to play synced multiplayer (or free roam for that matter) results in continuous “Disconnected from server” messages.

As I said and explained in the old post. This is NOT an USER error, ISP has been called multiple times and they say they cant do a thing. This is on FORZA’S side to fix. VPN seems to work too, but people cant afford to pay even more to play a game they already paid 70 usd for to begin with in a 3rd world country.

Announced today in our Series 18 blog, one of the bug fixes is

  • To alleviate some regional ISP issues, particularly in Argentina, we’ve made improvements to online player connectivity.

Get Ready for Rally Adventure in the Horizon Wilds Takeover (forza.net)

We expect the update to be available after February 28, 2023 6:00 PM at which time we’ll ask users to install, restart, and check to see if the issue still persists.

Thats great news!! Will be trying as soon as the game updates and giving feedback here! Again, thanks a lot.

Game finally works without a VPN. Although I played an eliminator match and wasnt able to challange anyone to a head to head. I also noted that I was not the only one.
Finally, id like to say that next time, you (pgg) should take more attention into bugs and stop saying that it was our ISP all along before actually checking and trying to fix the issue as no one is going to give me back all the money spent in a VPN to play (almost the full price of the entire game at this point).

Thank you for the updated information @Svander97 - anyone else who has seen this update fix the issue please post your experience as well.

I had the same problem, and after update it works for now.

I could only launch the game for a few minutes, with freeroam apparently working alright, haven’t yet tested all the other features, it’s almost like a new game’s been unlocked for me so will take some more time when I can and update this post, but things are looking promising!

Edit March 6th, 2023: it does work, like actual online racing with real people, thanks for the fix.
