Hi I’m brand new too forza I’m playing the fast and the furious, me and my friend are in a multiplayer free roam and we had a a few race. Now 3 races this guy joins and plays we leave him for dust and at the end of the race he’s in first??? 1 of the races my friend was in first by a long way and I was battling this guy for second witch I took and once again at the end he’s in first, can someone please help??? Its really killing my first experience of forza

No one got any info for me? Or knows someone who can help?

If you’re referring to online road trip, points are accumulated based on XP gained throughout and in between all races. Where you finish in a race has some impact on this but isn’t everything. I’ve won all 4 races easily but still finished second before. Driving clean and racking up XP during a race and while traveling to different locations has much more of an impact on where you finish. It is annoying though.

Check your stats page, you will notice it keeps track of how many races you have won…and it does not keep track of how many times you won the XP total…and in reality it’s not much of a difference in credits

This isn’t your typical racer. Finishing 1st in a Road Trip race is only part of the equation to being on the podium at the end of the racing series. LightsOut above me touched on that.

What else helps you get there though?

  1. GET TO ALL OF THE DESTINATIONS BEFORE TIME RUNS OUT. Don’t think that 2k XP will matter? Wrong. It all matters.

  2. RACE AS CLEAN AS YOU CAN. I always want to finish 1st. I believe I always have the best car. Problem is, the wall-riders and dirty racing. Gotta keep your space man.

  3. LEARN HOW AND WHEN TO DRIFT during the race.

  4. GET IN A CREW AND RACE WITH THEM in Public, to get the added Club Bonus at the end of every race.

I took my latest tune and design for S1 (Richard Petty Monte Carlo --yes I know he drove Pontiac but show me a mid-80s Bonneville in the game) and took 1st on the podium by 10k points. I should have finished 1st in 3 of the 4 races however, being ahead the whole time then flipping literally in front of the finish line on two of the races didn’t allow for that. I took 2nd, 3rd, 7th, and 1st. Still ended with over 60k in XP, and murdered my Club mate who took 2nd. It’s tricky…and it’s not IMO always the right way to “Win”.

Championship won is based on xp in total throught the roadtrips not position in races.

All you have to do is drift between every race and still make it to the event before the timer runs out and you will be in first place for the road trips for sure.

What I do is find that person and crash into them between the races forcing them to loose the drift XP and then they won’t come in first… they usually find a new lobby fast…

its stupid that the points are based off XP… should be a points base system of winning races…

Well, I guess I know who to add to my block list. I know naming and shaming isn’t allowed on these forums but really you did this to yourself.

Intentionally ramming and wrecking into racers is a low blow often employed by those who cannot win of their own accord and so decide that they must ruins the good times of others in order to have a good time themselves.

Thank you for pointing out to the Forza COmmunity and me that you are a rammer and a wrecker. I look forward to blocking you and hope we never meet online.

+1. Hate the noobs who do this to you in between races. Have to try find an empty space behind or go far in front as some don’t know how to drive -__-

Racers who are not the best drivers and hit you on accident tend to apologize, or not do it repeatedly, and you can see they are trying not to hit people but struggle driving. I try to drive clean but I bump into people or full on hit them as well. For example, last night I full on rear ended someone into tomorrow - I wasn’t expecting them to brake for the corner so early and I wasn’t able to swerve around them when they slammed on their brakes. As the person behind, yeah I totally should have been looking but it was simply an unexpected move for that particular corner.

Then, there are those who ram intentionally such as another individual in the exact same lobby. Apparently, he just didn’t like me for whatever reason but we’re racing down the highway with a gazillion lanes to overtake and he intentionally crosses the highway to slam into me and wreck me out. He proceeds to do this every time for three races that he gets near me until I just left the lobby.

That first paragraph, that’s just fine and (at least for me) totally acceptable. I may be upset I lost my skill points but it’s no big deal. The second group is the one that really grinds my gears and they all tend to find themselves reported and blocked.

I think it was discussed somewhere and I am unsure if the situation was ever addressed in an update. There used to be people who would intentionally not even race and just hang out near the starts of events attempting to get skill points. The sad thing is, it’s often super easy to get skill points just by racing, but hey to each their own. Many had said that a remedy might be to require racers to get to a certain percentage complete before the game allowed the skill points earned to count towards the road trip progress.
For example:
—> If it’s a three lap race and the event is over and you are still on lap one then you get no skill points. This does not affect any lapped track negatively, even the super short ones in Nice, because you have to think of it this way - if you’re just hanging out getting skill points so you don’t attempt to race - you get no points. If you’re not the best driver but you’re trying and you race slow chances are very high you’ll finish at least one lap before the first person ends and the 30 second timer finished and you earn your points. If you’re not the best driver, you’re trying, but you keep crashing into things and do (or don’t) finish the first lap you probably didn’t earn a lot of skill points anyways due to constant wrecking.
—> In a point-to-point race, the same as above applies but instead of finishing at least one lap, you must get to at least 50% or some predetermined number which can be either universal or track specific.

If you’re worried about stats, hen it doesn’t really matter. Stats recorded races won and road trips complete - not road trips won.

Remind me to never race against you.

A “road trip” between event destinations in Online Road Trip mode is not a race. Think if it as a fun freestyle romp between race events. The reason it gives a bonus for XP is so everyone gets something for getting there, then the race events focus on who comes in first. You get a bonus for getting there first, but someone who racks up a ton of skill points will rank higher than you on the XP leaderboard. That gives players who never win races a chance to win something for playing.

Well, this prompted me to write my first post, because no one seems to be taking the original poster seriously.

I’ve seen exactly this on two occasions, once about a month ago, once last weekend.

I’m in an (embarrassingly long ) online road trip, just a pick up group, people come and go. Someone comes on and they race erratically, very slow off the grid, rapidly drops to the back of the group. Suddenly, just as the race event comes to an end they jump up a few spots, sometimes to first, occasionally they show 99% completion for a few moments first. In a circuit race they drop to last then jump to first every lap. In an Infected game they won, I think it helped that they didn’t appear on the map at all, a bunch of purple dots and no green, but the game went on. This happens for a few events, I make sure it’s happening consistently before I congratulate them on their finishing over the chat, a couple of races later I ask them how they manage it and they promptly disappear. It’s almost like they are fast traveling during the event and, let me be clear, this is during race events, not during the “drive to next event” phase. They may be doing it there too, based on XP Championship results but it’s harder to verify.

I’m not a great racer, I’m used to getting beat, but not like this!

In both cases I filed a report, love that ‘Recently met’ list.

Has anyone else had this experience?

Cheers!

I frequently get several thousand points of XP during races. Even if you don’t intentionally drift but still get the rear end out every once in a while it counts as a drift. Then pass cars without hitting them, race clean and you get tons of XP. Near the ends of races I tend to get 6250 Ultimate Clean Racing XP a few times. Race clean and fast - it never hurt to win the race - and you’ll get lots of XP.

Then, between races drive to get lots of skill points, don’t hit things so you can keep your points, and make sure that you make it to the event.

Also, the weird percentage thing you’re talking about isn’t cheating, it’s a really, really bad internet connection. Usually you find these people can’t hear you, maybe only stay a lobby or two, or aren’t on the map, endraces with less than 100% but they finished and all that. It means they’re connection is really bad and they need to reboot their Xbox and their internet router.

i typed a long message before but something happened but long story short these people are hacking report them

Basically the system of Excite Truck and Most Wanted '12.

It’s rather normal that I lose a position to someone, who isn’t that good in races and concentrates therefore on racking up skillchains. I’m perfectly fine with this; I want to race and not stay behind and doing stuff, just to appear on the top of the list at the end.

I also think that no one takes a win from someone, who doesn’t even try to compete and just racks up points, seriously. Because where’s the point in the events, when you can win without racing and staying behind all the time?
