It seems ridiculous to me to have to juggle so the game can work. They just have to fix it.
indeed , same problem for me and so disapointing it s stutterfest in many race (SP,MP etcā¦) the game could be fun but very bad optimisation on PC
I received a reply from FORZA support asking me to turn off the design of Drivatar, so I tried it, and the symptoms of continuous stuttering right after the start of the race and a drastic decrease in FPS in the second race disappeared.
Other settings are as follows:
The stutter and VRAM overflow seem to be caused by car painting.
(In testing, we saw that every time a stutter occurred, the design stuck to the Drivatar car.)
Weāve managed to get to the point where we can play the game, but how long will we be allowed to verify the operation of this game ā¦?
Can any Nvidia user try if turning off rebar helps with memory leak? Since most of players that complain about stuttering and fps drops use rtx3000 or 4000 series, I guess itās related to rebar since rtx2000 series and below donāt have access rebar.
Iāve turned off Resizable BAR before, but to no avail.
(Unlike RADEON, GeFORCE cannot turn off the Resizable BAR from the driver and cannot be turned off without changing the BIOS settings.)
When I switched off āHAGSā from Windows, the average FPS improved by about 10. (Stutter and FPS degradation did not resolve ā¦)
However, I think we are already at a different time to fix it with settings.
Itās already been six months since the game was released. They should be sloppy enough to make sure that whatever configuration is in place works, and that the implemented features work correctly.
Stutters in Rivals at each section with the line across the track.
In Freeplay with a full grid not any issue
Yes it solved my freezing screen problem, thanks allot man!!
Same thing is happening to me. I play one race in carreer, Ultra settings eveything is fine at over 100 fps. Go to the next race frame rates drop to below 40 fpsā¦bocomes unplayable. All drivers up to date. My system is:
13900k
32 GB DDR5 6000
4070 ti SUPER
I stated this solution that worked for me on the other thread pertaining to this same issue here on PC and my advice is this:
Set the Drivatar / Player Livery quality to āAutoā under the Graphics settings tab, and you can keep your other preferred graphics settings intact.
This should mitigate the sudden framerate drops caused by the opponentsā liveries causing massive memory leaks, until the moment Turn 10 addresses this PC specific bug in the next update (or even a hotfix, hopefully!).
This was driving ( no pun intended) me insane on both desktop and laptop⦠Setting Liveries to Auto instead of Ultra fixed it and also cured the stuttering which had been introduced. FPS now slightly higher than before and rock solid with everything else maxed out.
YAY!
This actually work for me, thanks mate
Yep, for me it was also the drivatar liveries that were causing the FPS to drop after 1 or 2 races. Turned them off and so far FPS has been rocked solid race to race.
Hopefully thereās a fix for this down the line. Itās been plaguing me since day 1.
Turning off drivatar and other playersā liveries worked for me too. No more FPS drops between races, no more stutters during initial pit animation. RTX 3070, 1440p, High settings.
Setting liveries to Auto was enough to fix it for me in the end.
Jup, only high fps for one race in career mode and then the second one immediately drops down to 30fps
In free drive time trial no FPS drops at all.
