[PC] When is the next patch/update?

I’ve forked out 140 AUD for a game that patently does not work.
Few games have had me paying so much money for a title that offers the following:

blue screens of death
red screens of death
withholds day 1 content that was paid for
crashing to desktop
artifacting and erratic framerates

My computer is no slouch either - i7 4790k, 8gb RX480, 16gb RAM. All drivers, bios, etc are all up to date, anniversary ed installed. Benchmarks and all that kinda junk has been tried and everything seems to be in working order. Game’s not working, however, which is a crying shame given the exorbitant premium that the microsoft store is asking. The caveat is that what I’ve seen and managed to play inbetween lengthy downtimes of inactivity and trying to find a fix for this knackered horse of a title is absolutely breathtaking. Pity I’ve spent more time on these bloody forums trying to find solutions to the above problems. Five days after early release, and the developers are still suspiciously silent on the official forzamotorsport.net forums! There’s no news on updates, no news on what’s being worked on or fixed, no nothing. The twitter feed is polluted with generic “BUY MY SHIT” and other such plugs for the game.

So, Playground Games, what’s happening? Any news is good news. I had high hopes for forza’s first full foray onto the PC platform and those hopes have been slathered in effluent.
Please give us news of incoming patches or updates.

Or at least tell us that you’re rubbing your nipples at our misfortune.

Any news is better than no news.

I feel your pain mate. My PC is more than capable of handling the game. The performance sucks bigtime. I can’t find any news of a fix/update in the works. Shocking. Do they not test these games on different hardware before charging people money?!

I’m seriously starting to wonder that myself. It’s frankly unprofessional to leave the users in the dark if they’re straight up selling snake oil.

I’m actually surprised there wasn’t a release patch to fix all these PC issues. I’m running a 980 TI, and i7 6700k and a Skylake MB maxed out with RAM and my game freezes up for a solid second or two when the game autosaves. I run GTA (which is a horribly optimised game) better than Forza so it kinda proves they didn’t do the best job porting the game over from the console counterpart.

An update from Turn10/PG Games would be nice right now.

Maybe the problem is bigger than we tough and They have no clue to resolve all problems.

Then they really should let people know what’s going on. Leaving people in the dark is a great way to have unhappy customers, who potentially will never buy another game from you due to your lack of basic public relations.

+1. Absolutely livid right now.

I really do hope the patch the game soon. The stuttering is annoying. Also the lowest I can set my game to is 33FPS. Its weird that there is no 30FPS option for me.

The cap numbers are based on your monitor’s refresh rate. For example, a 60hz monitor will have options for 30fps and 60fps, since those are both divisions of 60. a 144hz monitor will typically have options for 33, 48, and 72 fps (or uncapped).

This feature is primarily designed to prevent “screen-tearing” by showing frames at a rate that’s in sync with your monitor’s refresh rate.

never buy again from PG or from windows store.
i remind everybody that at least MS refund you immediatley (if you bought the digital version from the store) within 30 days.
i wait 3 days for a fixing patch, fix for real, then i will take back my 100.

they never say, don’t bother asking

It reminds me the time with Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox360. The’ve sold a lot of copies and after there was only one little announce the 360 version will not be supported in any way…even with patches for lot of a bugs in the game…then silence…
Too bad…the Forza series overall is great game…but the way they treat customers is not acceptable…

Sorry to hear you are having such issues, I have a much older pc and I have not had any issues on the pc version besides the auction house and upgrade areas lagging slightly for some reason. No crashes or big issues yet personally, been playing since friday, hope you get things working better when a patch comes out. Have you tried different gpu drivers?

Indeed. I’ve rolled back and forward the gpu drivers half a dozen times with no success, and tried every relevant fix that’s shown itself on the support side of the forums. I’ve never had to work so hard to get a video game to work before ;| especially after a leap of faith of a purchase.

I hope a patch comes out soon too.
I haven’t had some of the issues mentioned like the game crashes but I have the stutter every now and again that most users are complaining about and a drop in frame rate now and again which is annoying.
Shame really as the game looks quite stunning hope they fix it soon.

Same here… I don’t have a high end pc. On my GTX 970, high settings almost stable 60 fps, sometime under 60 but never going under 50… It’s kinda weird, some people have better pc than mine and they have all those issues…
