Every new update makes the game perform worse [PC]

First of, I don’t have the most expensive PC out there or anything but on day 1 of the release I was able to play the game and experience all it’s features (SP and MP races, etc) on a combination of High and Ultra settings (optimized through the GeForce Experience Menu) without the game having any issue, 90 fps and all. Now after each update the game is acting worse and worse to the point where now it is hanging, freezing, stuttering and lagging even on low details. Sometimes it’s crashing and eventually causing a grey screen. Every patch released seems to have affected all of my friends who also play the game in the same way. The game was behaving nearly perfect at launch and up till their first patch.

Any idea when the next patch is coming out ? Are they even aware that they screwed up the optimization of this game to almost Forza 7 levels ? I’m having a feel that if it continues like this I won’t even be able to run the game after the next patch lol.

If it makes any difference, specs are:
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Intel i5 4460 3.2GHz
8GB RAM
Installed on a regular HDD not a SDD (seems like some people here believe that can actually impact such a high drop in performance LOL).

I’m having exactly the same problem here, I have an i5 3470, 8gb ram and gtx 1050 ti. Before the game was running normally, now I’m having a lot of FPS drop, and the game closes on the gray screen after about 15 minutes.

The solution that solved for me in this problem of gray screen failure was to use the .bat file that kills the explorer while running the game, however, I am now having a lot of fps drop down in the low settings.

I hope they can fix these problems soon, because getting the problems for me is the best racing game.

Not seeing this on my system, not denying you may be experiencing it though.

Benchmarked the demo and post launch builds with drivers 399.24 and 411.63 respectively on Win 10 (x64) 1803, I have since installed the 1809 update and 416.34 and benchmarked again. GPU locked @ 2GHz throughout. 4K Ultra Preset.

A mate experiencing this same stuff uninstalled his drivers and went back to the older ones and it made no difference.

He’s running a 1070 , 16GB Ram and a i7 6700K.

Hope Nvidia and Microsoft get their redacted together
