So I’ve tried multiple things to get VRR working and the issue seems to be vsync related. Vsync on in game locks me to 60 but my display is 129. Shutting off vsync in game and enabling it in nVidia cp lets me select unlocked frame rate but… Still locked to 60.
No vsync at all and I’m getting between 80-110 but it’s a stuttering mess.
I’m using a 3080ti FTW3 Ultra on an LG CX display. Horizon 4 never gave me any issue with VRR.
Asus TUF 3080 on a LG CX here, and I too seem to have issues with VRR / Gsync…
Even if the game runs with 70 to 100 FPS I get a lot of micro stutter and lagging…
I had to limit the game to 60 FPS ingame to get a decent playing experience…
Something with the display mode of FH5 is off, even the mouse cursor stays on top all the time even when I am playing with my joypad, so the Full Screen Mode in reality is a borderless windowed it seems and thus VRR / Gsync gets problems.
I’ve had on and off VRR issues as well. Also have a CX. Press the green button on your remote 7 times quickly to see if your VRR is functioning correctly (the hz should be fluctuating with your framerate). My latest issue (VRR was not working intermittently in game) I fixed by turning off v sync in game and for FH 5 in the NVCP.
Same here Vsync doesn’t work in game (Since series 10) so have to use AMD software to do it. Also i get massive frame drops ever since series 10 and they have no idea why… Using RX5700 btw.
