[PC] In game V-sync not working? Frame rate 75-80 and left/right movement stutter.

It’s nice to get 75-80 fps but not when the screen refresh is being pushed beyond it’s limit.
I thought the in game v-sync should cap the frame rate to 60 fps.

Any one else having this issue?

I’ve been most of the day tweaking settings and running benchmarks, in game, on Nvidia control panel, with afterburner. It’s still the same and reducing or increasing graphics quality makes no difference.

It really seems the in game V-sync is not working.

V-sync works fine on my end. But instead i get freeze lags which normally resolves themselves and let the game keep running. but sometimes it crashes. and another visual bug i’ve seen could be my gpus but its some weird filmgrain like noise on the entire screen. only happens when the game is running. even when the game is minimized. never happened before horizon 4.

is the v-sync in game capping the framerate?

I wouldn’t call it capping. It synchronizes the frame updates with the monitor while also using a buffer to finish rendering frames before displaying them. as it should. but if you can get a higher framerate than the monitor can display and if you prefer tearing with less input lag to no tearing with the more input lag.
