[PC] Realtek Audio and DTS Causes Stuttering and Steering Lag; a Report with Workaround

I was having a stuttering issue that I resolved by changing my audio setting default format from “DTS Interactive (5.1 Surround)” to “24Bits, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)”. I was experiencing a stutter that would gradually become worse over the course of a race. This was also causing my steering inputs to feel progressingly ‘lagged’ as the race went on. Now, the entire race will run smoothly, with smooth input.

In the Realtek HD Audio Manager, Default Format tab, ensure that “DTS Interactive (5.1 Surround)” is NOT selected.
