I have the same problem as krazymond. This is way more stress and fuss than any pre-load should involve. Steam, Origin and even uPlay mastered this years ago. Slightly amazing that with full access to the OS, Microsoft can still get Store so badly wrong.

Same issue…congrats Microsoft…

Worst pre load experience and even worse customer support? Wouldn’t expect anything less from MS

Okay I am confused… I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition over a month ago and it has already pre-loaded on my XBOX ONE. Now on my PC (which is fully up to date…) when I go to the FH3 Store page (through the Windows Store App) it shows that I own the game but the only option listed is “manage”. When I click the “manage” button it just brings up everything I have installed on both my X1 and PC through the Windows store… Problem is FH3 is NOT listed (but for example the FH3 demo for my X1 is…). So it hasn’t already pre-loaded. How is it that Microsoft are screwing this up so badly? It is already bad enough that we are forced to buy this through the brutal UWP but then they can’t even get a simple pre-load right??? I am not one of the Microsoft haters, but I can see how people turn on the company. This UWP thing is really bad. They were supposed to have this thing work so the memory of Games for Windows Live would be erased. Well UWP is turning out to be worse… much worse. Any way rant over… Is what I am seeing on the FH3 page normal? Or is it just another buggy problem? I want this game pre-loaded ffs!

I’m having the exact same issue, you’re not alone, but is there anyone else who had this issue and found a solution?

Well, just to show that it does work for some, I clicked on the “Update” button in the Windows store and I have over 7 gig downloaded already in less than 15 minutes, the time it took to pay a couple of bills online and write 1 check. You have to love 100 MB fiber

I am 6 gigs in already, and I have crappy internet. It’ll be ready for release time, that’s for sure.

I reaaaaaally hope the port is good and doesn’t have the stuttering issues from Apex.

You and I have different definitions of crappy internet. You’ve downloaded 6gigs in ~3hrs. I’d love to have the ability to get 2gigs/hr.

I was having this as well. What I did was instead just go to the base Forza Horizon 3 page on the store. There was the install button. It appears to be downloading just fine now. As for the add on packs we get with the other editions of the game, I’m guessing they will be just unlocked, since everyone has to download the info for the car packs anyway.

This is what I did also (Ultimate Edition). I’ll double check for the VIP stuff and car pack. Managing about 1 GB per minute so I can’t complain.

At 19GB in about an hour and a half, why can’t it be the 23rd already?!

Luckily I never had the stuttering issue in APEX. Everything went as smooth as could be asked for. I know a lot of people weren’t as fortunate. I’m just glad my 10 years of prayer have payed off and I’m installing a full fledged FORZA title on my PC!!!

Hello im downloading now for my second time but it says now 7gb of 49.01gb
it goes ahead with 1gb at a time and when it was a 49.01 of 49.01 it didnt stop it just went to 50.01gb of 50.01 etc all the way to 63.11gb of 63.11 gb when i canceled it (my internet fell away all the time so i resatrded my pc) so now i have to do it all over again anyway how big is it?> Screenshot by Lightshot

I’ve read somewhere that one of the errors is happening because the store cant preload to a drive that doesn’t have windows installed. So one thing to try is to change back the default download drive to where your windows is.

So far I tried the download again after the error code a moment ago and I can confirm it is working for me so far. Anybody post below what is going on for you. I have went hours without any luck, and now it’s working fine. File size says 49.04gbs.

I got it to download onto drive D. Since win10 is on a 120GB ssd.
