[PC] Cannot start the game since the last Update in October

I was able to play the game before the last update in October.
Now I cannot start the game. Everytime I want to start it, I only see a black screen for a short moment and then I am back on my desktop.

I updated all drivers as usual, I installed the latest Win 10 updates, I also deleted Forza 7 and downloaded it again.
This did not help.

I paid 100€ and now I cannot play this game although it worked before the last Update in October.
I just paid 100€ for 100GB that now waste the space on my HDD.

Can somebody help me or does somebody have the same problem?

This is my system:
i5 4690 @ 3,5 Ghz
GTX 1060 6GB
16 GB RAM

I have a lot of games on my PC and every game works fine.

This is the error that I get, when I open the event display:

C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.ApolloBaseGame_1.109.9571.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\ForzaMotorsport7.exe" -ServerName:forzamotorsport7.AppXhg3ar1rc79h5svsr7cnv3r2f5jf1vzfk.mca

I did not install the game on “C”. I installed it on another partition.

Same here. Since Nov 3rd update. The Forza splash screen pops up for a few seconds and then disappears and game does not load.

Very frustrated with this game, barely been able to play it since it got released. The only thing I can try now is to uninstall and download the entire thing again

I also have the game installed on my H: drive and not C:

EDIT: This game really needs a verify local game files option like Steam. Wouldn’t have to keep wasting time downloading 97 GB each and every time the game decides to stop working, or maybe T10 could hire people that can write code and actually release a game that works. If I kept doing this with my customers I wouldn’t have any left and yet here we are still buying their crap.

Please try:

  1. Press the Win+R keys to open the Run dialog.

  2. Type WSReset.exe, and click/tap on OK.
    Note :
The WSReset tool resets the Windows Store without changing account settings or deleting installed apps.

  3. The Store and a command prompt will now open without any message. The command prompt will automatically close when the Store cache has been reset.

That was tried many times, doesn’t work now, didn’t work the other times either. In fact WSReset has never fixed any store issues I’ve had in the past.

I have the same problem. I’ve tried rolling back Nvidia drivers as well. No luck yet!

I uninstalled and re-installed mine and now works really well, everything is much smoother. The patch has definitely improved the game for me as I am not getting stutters or hangs during racing and can even enable GSYNC now!

Shame I needed to re-install it to get it working though
