Hey everyone, I have seen similar errors in the past few days on the forums but the usual fixes are not working. Forza 7 will not load at all. It will crash right after the splash screen. The game ran fine on my hardware before, so that is not the issue. Running the latest version of windows. I have tried:
Re downloading the game
Resetting the game
Download an app from the Windows Store, then start the game
Uninstall/Reinstall DLC then start
Reinstalling/ updating all drivers
Running sfc -scannow

UPDATE: It seems like an update that downloaded for the game today fixed the issue! If you are having a similar problem, see if that fixes it!
When was this update? I tried starting my game this morning (12/7/17) and it still crashed during the Turn 10 animation. My PC is above the reccomended specs and running the latest version of windows and graphics drivers.
I’m having the same issue - I purchased the game a week or so ago, played for a couple of hours and all was fine. Went to play again a couple of days ago, and there was an 89GB update for the game (Yeah, right… 90GB update. Sure.) Spent a LONG time trying to find someone helpful with Microsoft technical support, and ended up quitting out of frustration.
Have tried resetting everything, signing out, updating everything and still having the same issue. Microsoft Support just bounced me between Xbox Support and Windows Support because I’m playing on PC. It’s ridiculous. Super annoyed. I just want to play the game I played for and there literally doesn’t seem to be a way for me to do that. Not to mention that 350GB+ that I’ve had to download to try and getting it working over the last few days.
im having the extact same iisue. Yesterday i was playing as ussual, everything was working fine. Then, i left the pc a couple of hours, and when i came back the game just didn’t launch. I really don’t get it. It seems like something magical to me. I didn’t touch anything in my PC.
