Pay 2 Win Cars

I don’t know if you guys have noticed but the R8 Gt car and the Golf touring car are absolutely eons ahead of other cars especially with a good driver using it and a decent tune.

How are the best cars ones you have to pay for instead of just playing the game and earning them as a reward and i know this is just the first car pack i can’t imagine what they have planned so us game pass kids get wrecked non stop by pay to win cars it’s ridiculous

I did finally get to do some MP races, did the spec GT and the VW was certainly ahead of the rest of the field by a good margin. So much so I was tempted to go try mine. So far I ran the Subi and the Ford. I did much better in the Subi, which makes sense, since I am used to RWD more than FWD. Nothing I did could get my higher than 6th on qualifying, 2-3 Golfs on podium all 8 races.

I just assumed I had way more to skill to learn. I know for sure I need more focus for more consistancy

It always been like this leaderboard cars usually comes from dlcs. But honestly if you are not going for a wr or a highly competitive race you can race any car and win in multiplayer lobby. I got much more fun winning with slower non lb cars than meta ****, just my opinion.

no. it’s actually pretty uncommon for the best cars to be dlc cars in forza games. every once in a while you get them, but the most dominant cars throughout the series i can think of were all in the base game.

that said, it is indeed bs that the two permament series’ are dominated by dlc cars. intentional or not, it’s a bad look and they really ought to rebalance both series’.

my two cents on the matter, the original poster inferred that the overpowered cars be free as seen below.

Here they want to get the car by juts playing the game or as a series reward (both technically free). While DylanDrog specifically stated one should be asking for balance instead of asking for over powered cars.

What Dylan said is correct, if you have over powered cars, lobies will just be that car, right now you only see a few golfs leading the way in tcr lobbies, but have you noticed how many audi are there (which is somewhat the next over powered car, which everyone has access to. If these cars are there, everuone would gravitate to them if they want to win, while if the cars were balanced you could chose any and get close racing.

Now, here we must ask how realistic to we want it to be, as overpowered cars do exist in motorsport (i mean look at Red bull in F1 this season, or Mercedes before the rule changes). Having it is realistic, but we also want to gamefy the title by balancing the cars. We cant eat our cake and have it too. I think the solution for this, which might be a little extreme, would be put the cars in a separate series, not tcr, as what we are probably seeing is the same issue like what we see in the gt series with v8 supercars. Actual tcr cars from the same era, using the same regulations should be in the same division. do the same thing they do in rivals but for the featured multiplayer, give vip’s the golf and let them use it in an “OP TCR” series with other VIP drivers, while removing it from the list of normal TCR. This keeps the variety up, allows those who paid more to get more and those running vanilla to not face vehicles which would make their race unfair, stopping the unnecessary insults found in online forms and preventing me from writing this essay… Hope you enjoyed it :joy: :joy: :joy:

You can clearly tell that there’s a problem just by looking at the car selection screen. Within the Forza Touring Car category, the Performance Index variation is simply too great. There are cars down in the 680s while the Golf is top of the heap at 704 IIRC.

In the real world, such problems are solved by the race league’s governing body administering a Balance of Performance (BOP).

Two common techniques used to enforce a BOP are 1) engine restrictor plates and 2) weight ballast.

Currently, some cars in the game can utilize option 1, while (AFAIK) all cars can use #2. The devs wouldn’t even have to change anything fundamentally about these OP cars. Just mandate that if the Golf TCR for example is selected for a Spec Touring Car race, it needs to run with a set amount of weight ballast. Otherwise, you want to run it in Open S class (where it’ll likely be destroyed on anything other than a short twisty track) or in private MP, go for it… nothing changes.

Dodge dart (dlc) C class leaderboard (Allround) Aston zagato (dlc) S/A leaderboard (Alpes), Alfa Romeo (can’t remember the name) A leaderboard (Allround) Aston vulcan leaderboard, Mclaren f1 gt leaderboard, Ferrarri 250 lm (Le mans and fast tracks) leaderboard, Porsche 550 spyder leaderboard (allround) , well i’m not gonna enumerate them all many leaderboards car for different tracks are from dlc. Yes some leaderboard are allready ingame at release but they are always soon or later beaten on some tracks by dlc cars. It always been this and it will always be.

Release cars can always compete but and have usually allround leaderboards cars like dodge 08, ktm xbow, rs5, but you will always get your a** kicked on some tracks where dlc cars are just better, it’s a fact.

Ps: I refer to older forza’s many cars are allready ingame from release now.

Unfortunately meta cars have been around since forza 2. They will never be fixed im afraid.

Sucks 500+ cars and everyone is using the same 5
