So, I have been a Forza painter since Horizon 1 and I have put more gameplay hours into designing custom liveries and vinyls than actually playing the rest of the game, and I didn’t get an Xbox One until 2019 so Horizon was the newest Forza I had access to. I’ve asked for it before and it doesn’t seem to be any plans on making it a reality dispite it being a decently requested feature; are we ever going to get a remaster or singular update to 360 Forza games to either make the games compatible with current hardware (backwards compatible for Motorsport 4 and maybe 3) or to where we can access and upload our old paint liveries and vinyls into the newer games? I have literally hundreds, maybe thousands of vinyl groups and can only access them on the first horizon game. I was hoping for a 10th anniversary remaster of Horizon 1, btw missed opportunity, but we never got it despite perfect timing for it, not even a definitive edition…so if there are no plans to remaster any legacy Forza titles can we at the very least get a standalone (but connected to all games including Horizon 1 and maybe Motorsport 4) Xbox/PC app that is just the best version of the paint creation hub that’s within the games. Maybe you can style/theme it to your favorite games because the paintshop has changed with each game. And save each creation as a .jpeg, .png, .pdf, etc. files. It could be the better version of Photoshop for us graphic designers (like myself) that got our started in graphic design through your games, like I literally designed both my business’s logos in Forza Horizon (not any newer games because all my previous work is already on that game and I can’t upload them to newer games). And of course you’d be able to upload them directly to each Forza game either individually or altogether to add to as many cars as possible and future games as well. Full controller support, mouse and keyboard support just as the PC version of the games have plus pen support later on or as an optional add-on. Mobile support for those with drawing tablets. I’m just spit balling ideas but feel free to reach out for more ideas, testing, feedback, etc. cuz I love these games and what they’re capable of but I feel like the gaming industry has been playing it too safe this last decade and new ideas aren’t being explored. Forza, Horizon specifically is all about exploration…so why not explore new ideas that will enhance the way we express ourselves with our cars?
Sincerely, a fan since the Horizon festival 2012
I guarantee you the Forza Painting community will appreciate it, even if we have to pay for it just like Photoshop for advanced features like pen support, extra cloud storage, new design elements, brushes and tips for pens, and maybe as a premium feature you could use in game car models to paint on a canvas, idk maybe they should be built in and DLC cars come with a code to unlock them in the Forza Paint shop…hell, you could call it just that, The Forza Paint Shop or Studio. There could be a community contest for the logo during the beta and we could vote for the logo we like the best creating more user engagement and it could come with a full copy of the ‘FPS’ with a disc and everything, like an ultimate collectors edition or something. Make this a thing!!! I’m already excited just thinking about it. Don’t hesitate to contact me about this should it get the green light. I don’t know a ton about game design but I learn super fast. Email me at ProjectDriven20@gmail.com and I’ll gladly send you my resume, especially if I can work remotely to help make this dream a reality. I think this should’ve been the push instead of Forza Studio…I have no idea who asked for that but this would be way more useful.
P.S. the website won’t let me upload anything directly to it so reach out for pictures and examples of my super old liveries that are currently held hostage by a loved outdated but outdated game.
