I spent hours and days making designs on forza 4 and horizon… why cant we import our designs onto this console? I still make designs now but dont have the time to remake them all again. .
I’m a little confused, your thread title is bring back storefronts, but your message seems to be about being able to transfer designs between the 360 and Xbone?
I’m sure there are many very technical reasons for not being able to port your designs from one format of console to another. Why not just make new things on the new console and leave what you’ve made in the past where it is?
Like i said i do not have the time anymore… i meant to put in the last post why arent the storefronts available. ? That has always been a big part of forza? You hardly get paid for designs anymore… its a joke
I suspect as I said if not impossible it would be so difficult to transfer designs between systems that it would cost T10 way too much money to develop. They didn’t bring designs from FM2 across to FM3, presumably because even that was too difficult to do and that was on the same console. I think you may have to just pop back on the 360 from time to time to enjoy your back catalogue on there.
& Apologies, not got the Xbone so a little out of the loop as to how the ‘sharefront’ works - just did a bit of reading and can sort of understand where you’re coming from. If I understand correctly everything is free to download, so on the one hand you never have to pay for a paint - but the painter will only get paid if their design is used enough (whatever that means - not sure if that’s downloads, miles done by end user or what). It’s an interesting way of doing it but I can definitely see some drawbacks to it.
I can’t see them changing such a central part of the game at this late stage either way - your best bet would be to post your comments in a relevant thread in the FM6 section as there may still be time for that game to include features such as the original style storefront.
To be fair i cant see it can be that hard… they done it from forza 4 to horizon? There just getting lazy thats my opinion…
I still receive credits for my designs just not as much as you could get on the previous games… its just annoying that you put all the time and effort in and you cant bring them over… time wasted if you know what i mean
