I hope that was in a meetup and not in a race
yep in other cases all will be ghosted
My complaint isnât that they put out a paid dlc car pack. Thatâs perfectly acceptable. Itâs the timing. For the 20th anniversary celebration they should have been gifting out some new cars. They could have dropped the paid dlc pack with the next update. Heck even then, I might have bought it. Iâm not going to buy this one just out of the principal of the timing issue.
(I know this is a late reply, but hear me out)
That picture wouldâve been funny enough on its own, but your misspelling of âTomasoâ somehow made it funnier
Can you even stream DLC though?
You mean through gamepass for the xbox one? You can buy all the dlc packs. I would not be surprised if the game would run on the xbox one. MS just doesnât want to let it. Letting these games be available through gamepass is cutting into the console sales as it is. But then I donât really think they care about console sales anymore.
If I were basing my gamepass usage on FM23 alone then I would have paid far more over the life of the game than someone who bought the game.
That is, unless you stll need some version of gamepass to play the game.
The only real reason consoles are needed now are for those ocd collectors who have to have the âhard copyâ in their collection. Otherwise, the console just needs to be the streaming device. Microsoft wants all their games going out as a streaming service gaas anyway. It just makes fiscal sense to the Boardâs bottom line.
Cloud streaming will undoubtedly be the future, but itâs very much that at the moment.
I have a Full fibre 1tb connection and the input latency is still terrible. Some games streaming will work for but for now shooters and racing are suboptimal to say the least. Still only streams in 1080p last time I checked as well.
I have 1tb as well and its not ideal for anything other than casual play. They used to use series x hardware to stream in higher resolution but they changed that a couple of years ago. The latency is also worse than pretty much all of its competitors, i dont know if this is due to volume or what but its not great.
I know itâs only a BETA but for me it was unplayable. My ping is quite high though at like 25 so your mileage may vary but it ls an awful experience for a racing game .
Luckily im not their target audience because its not good for any type of competitive play. This isnt just xboxâs, i think game streaming in general is pretty useless and after years and years of hype, it really hasnt improved.
Thats not to say it shouldnt exist, people use it and if they can enjoy themselves then thats what its about. But imo it is not the future of gaming.
For PvP playing locally is always going to be a superior experience.
If, and itâs a very big if, they can ever sort the input lag and latency then for other games in think it could offer a great, convenient and cost effective way to game.
I donât know how the latency can ever be fixed, especially if you live far from the server but Iâm not a network engineer
There will always be latency, even playing locally with a wired controller theres latency. I think what theyre going to try and do is work on an ai solution. Theyve spoken about this before with predicting players movements. If they predict correctly, this will lower latency as the next frame is ready to go.
The issues i see with this though, is the processing power required to do this and is this really something people care that much about. Im sure corporations would like to eliminate any and all rights to products like games, so theyâd love a cloud gaming future where theyâd control everything.
Funny, I have a 300gig cable connection out in the middle of the ocean with virtually zero latency issues. About a year ago latency was so bad on FH5 I couldnât play it from the cloud at all. Had to download. Now FH5 and FM play Just fine from the cloud. Maybe my personal latency compensates.
I have a crap pc and when I play in the cloud I have no problems but if I try to play in the cloud on my s lots of problems itâs so weird.
