Opel Kadett C GT/E - Option for wider tires

I’d like to have wider tires than 205mm on the Kadett C.
A Bodykit would be perfect. Or maybe extensions for the wheel houses. But at least wider tires, to get more potential out of this vehicle.

P. S.
I think the tuning guys from the 90s managed to put wider tires on that car easily.

Yes, it’s a very typical look to have stretched wide tyres on that type of car. They do it all the time with cars from that era. It’s a shame that Forza still doesn’t have that kind of tyre model in 2024.

I’m working on a private MP event atm and the Opel Kadett is a really tricky car. Due to the narrow tires it’s quite a struggle to nerf it to the other vehicles. More tire options would be extremely helpful!

Yes, i know what you mean. You have to make the other cars worse, to fit them to the Kadett, because the Kadett can’t bring the power to the street.
Make a car worse should be illegal

It’s not quite that easy. The way we manage the competitiveness of the cars is by calculating the weight to tire width ratio and trying to have the smallest range there.
Eg. with a car like the Opel with 205mm you want to reach a weight/tirewidth ratio of about 3800 to make sure it makes it around the corners. We have a PI limit of C500 so by tuning the car to 3800kg/mm you’d get about 800kg of dry weight.
For comparison one of the cars with the widest tires in the hopper is the BMW 2002 Turbo with 255mm rear tires and to reach 3800kg/mm you’d need a weight of around 950kg. This way even though both cars have different weights and grip level they still have similar cornering ability. And it works out pretty well! This even accounts for tire wear, as heavier cars have wider tires and therefore more rubber to shed.
The issues only occur when a car has limited tire width options, because then it’s way harder to push the cars closer to each other. It would also help immensely if there were smaller steps of tire widths, like 185, 190, 195, 200, 205, 210, etc…, instead of 175, 185, 205, 225.
Another bad example is the Mazda RX-3 which has only 155, 185, 205 for front tires and 155, 205, 225 for rear tires as options.
