Online Voice Chat

Has anyone noticed how over powering the online voice chat is?

Like how it pretty much halfs ingame sound, seems to overpower party chat (Like in a party and it forces the ingame chat over it.) and seems to freely unmute the people that you already have muted.

I’ve noticed it alot today, especially the fact of it unmuting people you had muted in the lobby. It will be nice and peaceful with people muted but as soon as it starts the race it umutes everyone.

Is there honestly a way to just mute voice chat overall because it’s becoming pretty annoying with it cutting the game volume so you can hardly hear the cars and it just freely unmuting people so you are forced to listen to them screaming at everyone, listening to their music far too loud or just leave the lobby.

Yeah I hate how it lowers the main volume for chat. Start a party chat and you’ll be good to go. No lowered volume, no listening to other peoples gibberish.

Sad thing is that I’ve been in a party chat with other people and most of the time, the ingame chat gives itself priority over the party.

Hmm. I think maybe when you switch lobbies it might do that? I’ve been in the same lobby for about an hour now and haven’t heard a peep from anyone else and game volume has been good.

It seems pretty silly if it did that just because I went to another lobby.

But by this point I don’t even know why I bother with online atm, the constant crashing after the race or just the number of people that would rather be a pain in the backside even if you have had a full clean race with the same person.

i hear you, i only have one friend that i play online with in private a lobby. playing in the public lobbies is chaos! i have to listen to people using the kinect mic, or peoples music, or their tv is SO loud and they don’t mute their mic. and do the other players brakes even work in online lobbies? every coroner is a pile up of people slamming into each other and flying off the road. it’s frustrating.
