Online Racing- How to make it better.

What we actually have here is some players championing for FH3 to be like a sim-racer and have players race accordingly. That’s just stupid and an exercise in futility. It’s exactly the same as someone complaining Project Cars should be like Sega Rally.

This isn’t the type of game where clean, competitive racing is to be expected.

If you want such a game start wishlisting and wait until September.

When l did my stint of online racing l found that if you survive the first two turns you can usually end up in the top group who are racing properly. Especially in sprint races.

Games as big as this wont start catering to hardcore players. Our only hope is they create skill leagues where clean racers can be amongst themselves.

My top tip is avoid the online freeroam like the plague. Unless you want to spend hours drifting around the carpark in surfers paradise or racing up and down the runway in anything with a V12 TT lump.

My build usually isn’t great but it stays on the road so I’m usually in the running.

This is right and sadly true. I can’t seem to race online on here, even forza Motorsport 6 where most of my races are just so so bad… custom lobbies are in desperate need :(…

No offense but if you’re expecting a full clean race experience in a Forza Horizon game then you’re chasing rainbows. The game itself is arcade influence, much more so than FH2 and it shows in the offroad and playground game sections. If you dropped $600 on your setup then you’re taking it WAY more seriously than anyone in any public lobbies and you’d probably be better off with FM6 (FM7 soon), Dirt Rally or Project Cars 2 later this year.

@bcd: Level means nothing in this game. It’s just a measure of XP. Those “500+ class drivers” could have drifted to get those XP or just used the dodging traffic bucket list blueprint.

I don’t see how removing barriers would help with races, in fact it keeps the damage from rammers down as you can’t get shoved way off track

Or used the wallgrind glitch to gain massive amounts of XP

Removal of barriers came to mind today during a race when AWD converted 1,000hp rockets were just smashing into the barriers on low speed corners and speeding off. Basically wallriding. I would actually be okay with the concrete barriers being removed on certain 90 degree corners in like Yarra Valley and the Rainforest.
