Well after looking at them videos I noticed a problem they were not running stock tyres and also looked like the Suspension had been lowered for on road use now lets try them on stock and it a whole different story
But even on stock you can tune them so they behave on the black stuff it just takes some out of the box tuning to get them to drive nice.
Yeah I don’t see the point either. Perfect for Horizon games but they should have been left out for a FM game. I did the Polaris races in the Breakout championship and it was the most retarded spectacle I’ve ever seen.
I suppose it was easy to just port them over from Horizon, but I agree, they seem a bit pointless without off-road tracks. Sure, they can race on tarmac, but technically an F1 car could race (well, drive) on dirt. And you don’t see F1 cars in rally games, do you?
Interestingly enough, people in the Horizon games complained about supercars being able to go off road. You can’t please all the people all the time.
Personally I didn’t really enjoy the Nomad racing but my opinion doesn’t matter, I’m not the centre of the world and I shouldn’t ask for things to be taken out because I didn’t like it. I loved the Mercedes truck racing though but I’m sure people didn’t like that either, even though it’s a real life organised motorsport
Yep we could nothing like a Maclarn P1 racing off road or in the snow But we could fit Rally packs to all the cars in Horizon 3 but we can not fit Racing packs to all the off road cars with out putting them out of ther racing league. I think peeps would have had a whole lot more fun if all the Off road trucks had been firred with Sport or Street tyres as standard and not there stock off road tyres.
Running the Ariel Nomad in-tuned for comic relief I was not sufficiently amused. So I wasted 6 hours tuning the Polaris for Seeker Polaris Spec, and posted three top-1% times. I am now amused to the point of hilarity! It is actually a ton of fun to me, driving low-PI cars on these great tracks - I focus on class D & E leagues when I can, and the Polaris just takes that to the next level.
(shameless plug: try my Polaris tune if you haven’t done Polaris Spec in Seeker yet)
I would imagine just running a clean lap would put you in top 1%. Lol. I’m sure there’s not a lot of people knocking down the door to get in on off road vehicle leader boards. Time and effort wasted on this part of the game.
I have hope they’re holdovers for possible offroad/rally style courses, and really holding out hope for some complex touge/hillclimb/tarmac rally tracks.
But maybe they’re just there to pad the list, it might just be when they got licenses they still had them or acquired them for all of these vehicles and went “well why not?”
Can’t remember what vehicle it was - maybe the Ram Runner - but I was flipping it on darn near every corner of Brand’s Hatch. It was amusing for a while, got s couple of good photos and game clips, but it became annoying before the race was over. I don’t mind that these off road cars are generally slower and don’t handle so well - that basically describes classic muscle cars and I love driving them - they’re just not suited to the game at all. Dirt Track Mega Pack DLC tho? Take my money!
Yep, it was Brands Hatch for sure. I rolled it in the first lap in careers from memory. Other than the forced use to compete in career or I did the Autocross in Rivals the trucks just sit in the garage for me. If they add some dirt tracks like Speedway, Dirt Circuit, and Hillclimb I would expect to pay for it just like the Hot Wheels and Blizzard Mountain extensions in FM3. I will be happy to do this and it will add another great feature to the game.
