Not-So-Final (Apparently) car list revealed

That’s not new, is it?

I LOLed.

[/quote]

Only 3 of the new ones interest me.

1992 Toyota #99 All America Racers Toyota Eagle MkIII
1988 Jaguar #1 Jaguar Racing XJR-9
1993 Toyota #1 T100 Baja Truck

That last one seems somewhat pointless without some offroad tracks to go with it…

Incredibly disappointed to be missing the following though,

1977 Ford Foyt #14 Gilmore Coyote
1969 Ford Brawner Hawk III
1986 MG Metro 6R4
1964 Watson #1 Sheraton-Thompson Special Roadster

Yep pretty choked about the Gilmore Coyote. It’s essentially the only thing I missed not having when I skipped FM5, and was really hoping that T10 and their billion car count would include it in FM7. We may see it as DLC, but to me that’s a blessing and a curse: if one car that’s not new to the series can be included, what’s to say that all cars included as DLC aren’t just re-hashes of old stuff?

I will wait for the official announcement, but I am disappointed if this is it. My biggest issue is all of these off road vehicles. Unless FM7 has rally racing…what is the point? I am not really big on rally racing. I figured leave that up to Fh series. The limo I think is a waste. Vans are a waste. I would rather have production and race cars. Just my opinion. To each their own as they say.

Its about 4:40 and turn 10 have still not released their official forza garage… So there is still hope.

No, there isn’t.

Exactly, Arceus. I love your optimism, Dartman but the bottom line is that it kinda seems like we’ve been fibbed to a little bit, here, with the whole 700 cars thing. Same goes for the “Porsche partnership”. What, you promised Porsche you’d feature all their highest sellers, so they’ll let you say something along the lines of “partnership”? The only fruit I see from this is that you got the honour – if you can call it that – of having Porsche steal some of your thunder at E3 by putting their new car on your stage. As of right now, PCARS2 and AC have far better Porsche race car content than FM7, by a COUNTRY MILE. A “partnership” and you don’t even have their newest GT racer, which is revolutionary in its mid-engine design and the ONLY factory-backed car Porsche will be running with next year? What is that all about?

Having said that: as much of a fail as the whole Porsche fiasco seems to me at this point. there’s some new-ish stuff here if you look closely, and the amount of new race cars actually eclipses the amount of new road cars, which I like.

Still, though: even though I prepared myself for this, T10 managed to come up short in ways even I couldn’t imagine, by not including some of the coolest racers from the older games such as the Corvette C5 Z06 racers (Whelen, Tiger Racing, etc.) the 550 Maranello racers or Porsche Cup cars. Even though those aren’t new to the series, I would have treated them as such as it’s been quite awhile and at this point, even I would find them refreshing enough that I could almost – ALMOST – lie to myself and say they were “new”.

And those racing trucks/rally raid cars. It makes my blood absolutely BOIL to see them here. They are 100% useless in this game and I’ll bet dollars to donuts players will drive them the least of anything here. THIS ISN’T FH3, guys. WHAT. ARE. THESE. VEHICLES. DOING. HERE? Other than allowing you to pad your car count, of course. I understand the goal, but doesn’t mean I have to like it.

Wonder why the Rebellion didn’t make it, it wasn’t a Toyota product and had nothing to do with them. The engine is a Toyota but it is a customer engine, I always found it disrespectful to Rebellion and Oreca that some else gets the credit for their product. Same with Lola the 2010 car is not a Mazda, independent team who bought a Lola and a Mazda engine, they even don’t get credit for the Indy car either. Also the FLM09s aren’t Chevrolets, they have Chevy engine but Chevrolet has nothing to do with the class, chassis or sale of the car, that’s Oreca and they could have just as easily used some one else engine.

The BMW is the only car on Max’s missing cars list that I will actually miss.

Conspiracy theory… They are holding back quite a few cars for Forzathon prizes. Some people might not preorder the game and then find out the car they want is a Forzathon giveaway. Also, if this past week’s event is to be repeated we may have seen them create a precedent for VIP only Forzathons.

-k

Forzathon is a distinct possibility. Some many Forzathon cars in FH3 weren’t on the original announced car list.

Unfortunately, that’s not even the first time they’ve locked unicorns away behind DLC. Let’s not forget the Opel Manta unicorn being limited only to those with the Porsche Expansion in FM6…

I understand the dissapointing of not as many new to Forza cars in the reveals, I do. I also know that if the added 100 new cars at the cost of taking out 100 older cars that had been in last Forza games the fans of those cars would be all over it on this forum. It is impossible to please everyone.
If I get a dollar an hour raise at work anyone who didn’t get the dollar more will be mad.
If everyone at work gets a dollar an hour more there will be some who complain about being in a higher tax bracket and having to pay more in to the government.
It’s just the way it is…some peoples glass is always half full and others it is always half gone.
With the big picture…the cars old or new will still be fun to race in and there is always the possibility of new cars coming in DLC. Ya I know I will hear it " we have to pay extra to get cars we should have already in the game. Remember this is a bussiness! Call of duty along with many other games are remaking many of the older maps and just reskinning them and putting them in the new map packs for DLC…this is no different that bringing back a former car…its a bussiness and they are going to try to make money with this game.

That’s not the point. This game comes out in 2017 and we are still racing in a 2006 Aston Martin GT1 or a 2011 Porsche RSR (Turn10 has a 6-Year partnership with Porsche, we won’t forget that). It cannot be that hard taking all the cars from FM6 and FH3 and put them into FM7. Nearly none of the GT cars we have is used today, except the Corvette, the Ford GT and the Bentley.

Some look at the glass as half full, some half empty,i see the glass as refillable!!!

I love the response T REX😉

W A I T. . . so you’re saying they put this game out to make money? Some of the decisions are based around how they will help the game sell and profitability? They need to make decisions based on what I want, to make me happy. Just me… I mean other people too, but mostly just me. Who do I call to speak about this?

That makes 714 cars if we addition it all.

the car list revealed is 668 without counting the VIP which are forza edition.

so 46 Forza edition or 46 spot left

Should we stay optimistic or give up all hope ?

There weren’t 46 HE cars, so there may be some left that aren’t FEs, as well.

Stay optimistic I think - didn’t they confirm that part of the car collecting tier (or campaign) you could get exclusive cars from the manufacturer -like the pink slips in fh3?

I’m giving up hope for right now. Obviously dlc will provide the new to series and newer cars for this game but I felt like T10 missed the mark for the most part with this game. For having “more” content it’s not more at all, it’s just recycled. Skipping preorder will wait a few months down the line for this game. 7 weeks of utter disappointment. PC2 looks more promising with 1/4 of the amount of cars and double the amount of tracks.

Not entirely, there were several new to the series cars introduced, not only with past reveals, but with this one as well.

And yes, it does have more content, compared to FM6, which is all the have to say to win the more content argument.
