Not-So-Final (Apparently) car list revealed

We’ve entered the final week of Forza Motorsport 7 car list reveals, and Microsoft and Turn10 are wrapping it up with a selection of race cars. The race cars listed here hail from all eras and all forms of motorsport, be they on-road or off-road. Some of these race cars are historically quite important.

Take for instance the 1993 Toyota T100 #1 Baja Truck: This truck and its white, red, orange and yellow paint scheme was made famous and victorious at Baja by Ivan “Ironman” Stewart. It’s also nice to see a special Toyota such as this since representatives for the game confirmed that normal production Toyotas won’t appear in the game. Hopefully that will be rectified in a future downloadable car pack.

Among other famous race cars are many 24 Hours of Le Mans winners including the Mazda 787B, Mercedes-Benz Sauber C9, Jaguar XJR-9 and Ford GT40. The GT40 in particular is the 1966 model that first took the win at Le Mans. There’s also the 2016 Ford GT race car, which took victory in its class on the 50th anniversary of its predecessor’s win.

It seems you’ll also be able to re-create some modern racing series at home, too. The list features a variety of NASCARs to satisfy fans of Ford, Chevy, and Toyota. For open wheel, there’s an example of both the Chevy and Honda IndyCars, as well as many iterations of the Formula E race cars. Fans of Australian V8 Supercars will also find Holdens and Fords to pick from. You can check out the full list of race cars unveiled at the bottom of this post. You can also find the rest of the car list at the official Forza Motorsport page.

The folks at Turn10 and Microsoft also created some interesting infographics that break down the list a bit more. These infographics show how many cars appear from different nations and automakers. It also highlights cars that are the most expensive, lightest, narrowest, and more. You can check out the different graphics in the slideshow at the top of the page.

So not happy that the TS040 isn’t returning…I’ll have to keep Forza 6 installed to use it.

2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck

I like pickup trucks.
However, I think that adding this car to the list of race cars is not suitable.
Because this car is just 2017 Raptor which changed sticker only.
It is like a variant of Gran Turismo’s Miata. It is an insult to fans of race cars and raptors.

Should’ve been a gen 2 Lightning.

And here I was worried about having a difficult decision about whether to cancel my preorder. I assumed the gt3 cars in Project Cars 2 would have to be added but this is all recycled content. That’s an easy call to cancel. I’m honestly not even sure I will bother to ask for it for Christmas either because what’s the point?

Where is Acura NSX GT3, an Aston Martin racecar post-2003, current gen Audi R8 LMS GT3, BMW M6 GTE, Cadillac ATS GT3, Ferrari 488 GTE, Mercedes AMG GT GT3, Nissan GTR GT3, Porsche 991 RSR (Mid or rear engine). Also no GT4 cars at all aside from the old Maserati. No Ginetta, Mustang, Camaro, Cayman, Lotus, KTM or McLaren 570s GT4. Thought we might get some older race cars like 917k, 935 (in PC2 with multiple variants), C5R, Le Mans winning Viper, etc. etc. but there is none of that. Only thing returning which speaks to me is the FLM09, a car that is being put out to pasture after this season for being so outdated and I think that is a good metaphor for FM7.

Where did you find that ?

Here Final Forza 7 cars are revealed - Autoblog

Thanks, there are few cars I had like to see, but at least they made a diversified list

Wow so disappointed with the final list was really hoping to see some new cars this week. The only new modern car is the GT2 RS which is extremely disappointing. 700 hundred cars and about 98% are recycled, so disappointing :frowning:

Currently there is nothing in the list that gets me excited to play the game.

The whole Toyota thing really has done it for me. Not even the TS020 is returning. Hugely let down by all of this. I know what will happen, it’ll be DLC or those Forza events to earn the cars (if they are even returning).

Not angry, but disappointed.

yup I agree :frowning:

Fully agree. Fully agree. Always project cars 2! They have the TS040

Wait, this is a joke, right? RIGHT???
OK, this is a travesty. No, literally no new GT car, GT3 or other? (Don’t you dare count the 2017 Bentley GT3 as ‘new’)
Wow, just Wow.

I am just dissapointed as you but thw 2017 car is different to the old one in fh3 and 6 -but it’s the only new spec gt3 car anyway. :frowning:

I don’t understand… There are many cars missing here (Bentley LMP, Toyota TS040…) Why?!

The Bentley LMP is what saddens me the most…
My Speed 8 =( …
700 returning cars but they chose to abandon the greatest LMP car of all time…

Or why cars like the 1999 BMW #15 BMW Motorsport V12 LMR and 1999 BMW #16 BMW Motorsport V12 LMR are classed as two separate cars instead of just two liveries for one car(Project Cars has the V12 LMR and both those liveries are classed as the one car), to me that just seems like padding the list to fill out the numbers when there there is already a manufacturer livery system in place. it’s like when Gran Turismo claimed each Midnight Purple variant of the GTR as a separate car. And to be quite honest, nothing on the racing car list jumped out at me as making me want to buy FM7 given the vast majority are in FM6 along with some of the now removed ones but what I will say it at least there is a nice variety of different types of cars from different eras that can race each other like the 1950s cars actually having cars to race against unlike Project Cars which has the 1959 DBR1 but no Ferrari, Mercedes, Jaguar or others to compete against realistically.

Before we let the wheels come completely off the bus, I think it best to wait for the OFFICIAL Turn 10 post.
