No more contact in drift lobbies?

So I hop onto forza today after not playing for a week or so, to find out they removed a few online hoppers and removed contact from drifting??? Does no one else see a problem with this crap?? You can’t get a solid tandem do when your passing through people your drifting with. Yes I understand there are people that ruin it by driving ridiculous cars and hitting people but why not just restrict those cars itself. Door banging happens, you spin out, get over it. But removing contact all together makes drifting so boring. If you want people to stop playing this is the way to do it I guess.

I agree, there needs to be a separate lobby for contact drifting. I will not be playing forza until this is resolved, the only reason I play is for the drift lobby and it is now garbage. Let the prissy points boys keep their new ghost drifting lobby but give us ours back. Until then, peace out forza

If you don’t enjoy all aspects of drifting and whats provided to you by the game manufacturer go add more salt to the sea. People who want to have some competition that is actually part of the game function so you can actually win and lose, who are you to say any different.

He’s just relishing on the good ol’ FM2 days, and I agree. But without public custom lobbies all we have is lame point lobbies to meet other random drifters, and it’s not like back then when all the random drifters were out there to tandem, not get the best score. All points did was make the kiddos think that adding a bunch of toe makes for good drifting. Tandeming and proximity are key aspects of drifting, and by T10 making them ghost lobbies just goes to show how far they are from knowing the actual sport. It should be considered heresy to the sport honestly.

I’m not saying rwd is the only way to drift, nor am I say points aren’t important. Rwd and awd should NOT be put together they require 2 entirely different styles of drifting. Putting them together is absolutely stupid. I am relishing on the good old days, fm4 was personally the best forza. People didnt go for point cause that’s not what drifting should be about, its about how close can I get to the guy ahead of me with out hitting him or messing up the line hes/she is taking, its about the chase down of someone behind you. irl I’m not going for point. that’s not a thing, it’s about tandems and the angles I can take with someone. period. The lobbies should be separated. Contact should be implemented. If your drifting for points, you clearly aren’t a true fan of drifting, your just an ignorant kid looking to show how well you do alone. Yes the competitive aspect should be there but you can have that by just drifting with people, showing them what you can do with others around, points shouldn’t be takin away when hit because you still achieved a decent/good drift. That would make it a bit more fair because you can still keep that number 1 position if it matters that much to you. You don’t see in “FD” or “D1” them drifting awd cars together, they are going for tandems, they go for how well one leads and chase the other. You don’t see Ken block or any other awd drifter drifting with others cause it’s not something you can do with others it’s a much more aggressive then rwd. Tandeming the main core of drifting. Again you cant do that when your passing through other drivers or drifting with awd cars.

I don’t agree with all the negativity, but I definitely agree with having a contact and non-contact lobby, I don’t like the no contact lobbies at all.

Don’t get me wrong it is nice now not having kids crash into me or other that can actually drift, but I think they should just put a restriction on the cars your able to use in the lobby. Pretty much anything past “R” class is not driftable. Yes it is possible cause I have made a few for fun but they shouldn’t be used in online lobbies because they are just simply alot faster then most cars and the line you have to take with them are totally different most of the time You’ll usually hit someone 90% of the time cause of how grippy they are
