I couldn’t care less
As much as I think it’d be cool we should be glad they added new customization in FH3 and already said they would be announcing more bodykits/hot-rod/off-road customization later in the summer.
I think it requires too much effort, time, work and resources from developers to provide a range of variety for this customization, so I believe doesn’t worth it.
And Snow Owl has said an important issue with licensing.
Please take notice that I always use cockpit view and always use steering wheel, so it’s a matter that could affect me. But too much effort, as told, just to see for some seconds some fun thing, and then focus your attention on the road, where the important is happening.
Better let them to work in events, activities, wheather or… smiling!
Enjoy Horizon!
Im genuinely interested how The Crew 2 and Need for Speed are able to have these customization features in their game if it really is that hard.
Fair enough, people who play Forza a certain way do not care one bit about a customization feature like different interior colors or different brake caliper colors.
I don’t think Forza would just go for a palette change. I’d assume they’d remodel the interior to be realistic.
I don’t get what the fuss is about changing interior colours.
The interior mods that are worth having is basically stripping out the rear bench etc for lightweight race car builds. Also adding bucket seats would be nice but this wouldn’t be possible in all cars obviously.
Horizon 1 removed interior parts as you bought weight reductions. I don’t recall this being the case in 2 and 3.
Don’t really care about this feature, although it would be nice to at least change the color trim of the interior, as many cars offer different color combinations in real life. Personally, I don’t see myself destroying the beauty and uniqueness of any car by stripping it of interior parts. Steering wheel, maybe? Nah… I like to know what I’m driving.
There is one cosmetic item the game desperately needs: EXHAUST TIPS
Having brake caliper color options would be nice. Most of the times I end up leaving the stock brakes because the in-game custom calipers look terrible, not only on design, but color.
Now this is something I have no idea why was removed. It was a feature in Forza Motorsport 2 but it hasn’t come back since. It’s such a simple feature but it can make or break a look of a car. I would love Playground Games to add little things like changing the colour of lug nuts, brake calipers, adding decals on wing mirrors and windows, custom tire texts and custom exhausts. Small little things they could add but just don’t sadly.
While I did lament of the lack of interior customization in FH3, it was just an occasional gripe that I then forget about. I’m mostly indifferent if its the same with FH4: if they add it, great. If they don’t, oh well.
If they can’t even add the option to change how the exhaust looks… they wouldnt do interior either! Hope they finally fix the exhaust option in later games…
I usually drive in the first person view. The color of the interior of a car from that view is just as important as the exterior. I’m not asking for multiple texture or material options, just a few colors. Doesn’t even need to be a slider; the options the manufacturers actually offer would be more than enough.
A couple color options for the interiors wouldn’t be that hard to add and would make a big visual difference. For example, when picking your paint color on a top down convertible, the interior color can be extremely limiting for some aesthetic minded players. A Rolls-Royce Dawn doesn’t look good in several of its standard paint schemes because of the black interior. Kinda disappointed because I expected them to correct it with this game.
Totally agree with others have said about clothing; I would much rather alter the appearance of the car than the appearance of the character.
