A couple weeks ago, I finally replaced my Xbox 360 with a new Xbox One S. Installed on my Xbox 360 I had FH1 and FH2. Shouldn’t I have the XBox 360 version of these games on my Xbox One? I think I may have FH1, but I definitely don’t have FH2. I do see other games from my XBox 360, in the Ready To Install section of my Xbox One. Do I need to do something, to move over other games from my XBox 360?
Only Forza Horizon 2 transfers over. If you had it on disc, install it on the Xbox One.
The original Forza Horizon is not Xbox One capable.
FH2 is not included in the Backward Compatible titles list, so if you own the 360 version of FH2 it won’t work on the Xbox One; you would need to obtain an Xbox One version of FH2 to play it.
The 360 version of H2 is not the same as the Xbox one version of it. Put out by a different company. The 360 version of H2 is not backwards compatible with the one.
No.
Games that are backwards compatible will show up automatically.
FH2 was actually 2 separate games, 1 for the 360 and a different game for the One.
If you want FH2 on the One it will require a new purchase as far as I know and you would be starting the game from scratch.
FH2 on the 360 is also not part of the forza rewards program either
Only the xbone version is
I purchased Forza Horizon 2 for the Xbox 360, about a month ago or so, via digital download from the Miscrosoft store. Do I understand correctly that it will not work on the Xbox One? I wouldn’t be massively upset, I’m really enjoying FH3 now, but I still had a few events to play through.
No it wont
Its not backwards compatible
There’s an xbox one version which is completely separate
sorry, no it will not work on the One. It is a totally different game than the Xbox One version of it. Turn10/Sumo Digital put that game out not Turn 10/Playground. It may become backwards compatible someday but I wouldn’t wait around.
FH1 on Xbox One is nowhere to be found anymore, unless I’m mistaken!!!
Correct. It’s delisted. However, if you already own it, you can download it whenever you want to a new system. That includes the X1, where it is backward-compatible (and runs perfectly now, after a couple of game updates and a system update to cure the initial stutters).
Snow, I hate to telly you, but what you posted is exactly backward.
Okay. Too bad.
A month after they made FH1 Backwards compatible they took the servers down and delisted the game and DLC from the marketplace which was a waste of time and stupid to even make Backwards compatible for a month and then take it down unless you have the disc or ended up downloading it when it was games with gold.

These games have a lot of licensing involved (cars + music). Once those deals expire, they have to be renegotiated, or the product can’t be sold anymore. Pity, yes. Disc is the only way to buy it now, if you can find it. It’s a superlative game for the 7th console generation in every way, and one reason I’m so disappointed in the technical state of the sequels. Expectations were through the roof. I got mine as a download from Games on Demand a few years ago, and that transferred fine, once it went BC.

What I dislike even more is the fact that the Rally Expansion is delisted, a whole chunk of gameplay cut away from the game. I’m not sure why that one needed to be delisted, all 5 (4?) cars from that are still in Forza games now.
