The bend was in FM4, and as someone stated before, it was not “sticky” and was actually raced in private lobbies as the correct racing line. The pass-through at the end of 5 is there for a runoff coming in from the high speed straight. I have never seen this as an actual track for setup for racing, but someone mentioned it may have been used at the Optima Runoffs previously. If you look at the satellite images, there are usually concrete and tire barriers setup in that corridor as well.
Thanks, so I just had tunnel vision and missed it every one of the 100s of times I raced there. Also, looks like there are tire tracks around the offset tire barriers as if they are used for an autocross-like event.
Ditto. Looks like another place you can use a Lemans type build. I have always liked tracks where it’s ok to go a little crazy with the powwwa. Looks like it would be a faster New York circuit from FM2/FM3.
Race Pro on the xb360 had alternative layouts for Road America as DLC,
Cannot remember of the top of my head but i think there were 3 layouts, one of them was an alternative layout and i think it was on the final long straight, there is another kink along that section, like i say, i am going of memory.
There was also a shorter layout, i believe this is in the list shown.
The alternate and west would mean removing the “kink”…odd layout if you ask me. I personally think its not Road America and its a placeholder for another track. I cannot think of any real world tracks with full alternate layouts so taking a guess its a new fictional track.
