NEW to FORZA

Hello all, I am new to the forza series(never played a single series before), I am coming from Gran Turismo Sport ,Need for Speed, and the Crew 1 and i would like to enquire does Forza Horizon 4 have
1)a story line and even whilst progressing through the story/campaign mode, you could also jump into multiplayer races at any point in time,
2)do you get to build your cars like Gran Turismo 6 with individual performance as well as aesthetic parts?
3)is it a persistent racing mmo with levels and unlocks for your car/truck?
4)is it too late to start this game right now?
5)i cannot seem to find the game for windows.Everything is xbox live?(Sorry I only have PS4 and PC so i am not sure if xbox live is an account across platforms or just for xbox. I do not wish to spend money on another race game if its not worth playing for long, like nfs 2015 had cool graphics and an average storyline ,payback had on point exhaust notes and revs, the crew 1 is not bad and actually Grid Motorsport was a game that i felt was ahead of its time( had alot of fun with the GRID series)
6)Can this game be replayed when you had completed the storyline? (like using different approaches/cars to tackle the same event that you had completed?)
7)Did this game have a sound patch for their cars?

Thank you in advance and looking forward to your favorable replies, motorhead or not

  1. It’s not so much a story line as a setting. Horizon is a car & music festival and you go around participating in races, jobs, PR stunts, etc. You can do whatever you want to do within that context.
  2. Yes.
  3. Not really. There are “levels”, but they’re pretty meaningless. Money (“credits”) is the main currency you use to buy cars and parts, and you earn money by completing races.
  4. No.
  5. It’s in the Microsoft Store for Windows.
  6. Yes, it’s a pretty wide-open sandbox; you can create races with whatever cars on whatever tracks, and even create your own routes. It’s all up to you.

The above alluded to a good example. Horizons is a car festival. So you can race pretty much what car you want in what race you want, but no big game objectives. More collect and tune.

Tuning and parts seems simple when you look at the list, but the physics is complex as is the effect of parts and tuning. Made moreso by changing seasons, weathers and surfaces.

But it still is about just fun, not just fastest. Some cars have a range of model visuals, but a lot of it is wheels and livery.
