I would like to see the introduction of a new multi-car spec series in Featured Multiplayer, the pre 66 touring cars.
This class involves many cars, in real life homologated to form fair but epic competition.
Cars included are (not limited to):
- Alfa Romeo Gulia GTA
- Classic Mini
- Ford Galaxy
- Ford Mustang
- Jaguar XK150
And many more road going cars prepped for racing.
A good example of this class represented at Goodwood Revival (2024):
There’s a wide variety in these cars, so there will be one suited to any taste. They’re challenging to drive and because every car has it’s strong and weak points, they’ll make for great battles.
Cars in the game that can be found eligable:
- 1966 Ford Lotus Cortina, E248
- 1966 MG MGB GT, E226
- 1965 Alfa Romea Giulia Sprint GTA Stradale, E263
- 1965 Ford Mustang GT Coupe, D338
- 1965 Austin-Healey 3000 MKIII, E262 (roadster, not really touring car)
- 1965 MINI Cooper S, E219
- 1961 Jaguar E-type, D304
- 1960 Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato, D353
- 1959 Jaguar Mk II 3.8, E252
- 1958 MG MGA Twin-Cam, E224 (roadster, not really touring car)
- 1957 Porsche 356A Speedster, E223 (roadster, not really touring car)
For the roadster cars in the list, coupe versions are seen in the competitions.
Maybe this list can be split into two groups, one balanced around the E-class cars and the other around the D-class cars to create a fun multiclass series. If these cars are to be balanced into one or two groups, I do hope to see that each of the cars keeps their unique personality, like the Mini being a true menace in the corners and the Mustang being a powerhouse on the straights.
Any suggestions? Let me know!
