New Racers Looking to Improve

Whats up Forza community! I’m not exactly brand new to the game, but I’m looking to take a new approach and greatly better my skills on and off the track of Forza. I’m starting this thread so new comers to the game can trade questions and share tips and tricks learned along the way.

I’ve seen some other gaming communities shut out new comers and carry an elitist mentality of “you’re not good enough!” I already know this community is different due to other forum posts on this site. With that being said I hope for some veterans of the game to stop in and share some of their valuable knowledge.

I would like to start off with my own question. Say I am needing a class B racer. Is it better to go ahead and buy a class B car and make slight changes and upgrades to put it at a 600B or should I buy a class below and upgrade even more to gain a high class B racer? As of right now I’m not tuning until I’ve studied a bit more haha.

Thanks for stopping in and definitely feel free to give me an add!

Mr Red xxxxxxx

For my style of racing, I usually go with a slightly lower car and add tires and other handling bits. Im not great but im better. Smooth is fast… .

Solid B class cars will be your usual suspects in the Mercedes 190e and the Honda S2000 09(my personal favourite!)
I have tunes for both if you wish to try.
I like to also use the Toyota GT86 and the Subaru BRZ.

I would definitely like to try out your tunes! Not sure how to do it though haha. Do I search for you under tunes?

Yes. Get into the car you want to buy a tune for. Then go over to ‘get tunes’ and hit the search button and add the tuners name your looking for.

I love the 190E. I have Stella’s tune and its nice and grippy. B-Class is my home… .

B class is the class to get your feet under you. Its just fast enough to be fun and still easy to control. Its my favorite class, it great for learning tuning and driving skills.

a good tip I have received before.: Look for the top 10 list timetable in each circuit. Usually those cars are there due to the big experience from the driver to chose the right car with the right set up. Itis possible to copy the set up from some of these cars (now there is a shortcut in the time table to access it. If you want to go in deep regarding set ups, some guys here have open sources set ups. The rest is according your preferences (AWD, RWD, FWD). good races for you. Enjoy !

Ah, I forgot to say, some setups depending on your level, looks like “undrivable”, mostly the RWD (at least for me in the beggining) but is is part of the fun! I hope I could be helpfull. Have fun!!!

I’m no expert by any means but I generally see more cars upgraded to the top of their stock class (i.e. Lower/Mid/High B class upgraded to B class limit) or to the top of the next car class. In my experience, a car that is upgraded 3 or more classes can’t hang around (whether it be handling/braking or speed/acc) with the higher performance cars that are built stock for that class. All just my opinion though.

Personally… I generally pull from no lower than D class for my B class tunes. For most other classes I try to stay as close to a 2 class difference ( A pulls mid D, S pulls from high C, and so on)

Good 4 you Mr.Red
I’m trying to help new Forza drivers as well…I’m no expert…But I’ve done my share of real street racing and applied my knowledge here…amazing on how well done Turn 10 Studio’s have done w/ F6… Gran Turismo…Who???

Question for A Class. Would an Audi S3 Sedan be good for A Class? I was thinking, get rid of the All Wheel Drive. I forget what class its in.
