I am just curious how others do this. If you want to build a class specific car, let’s say B class for now. Do you try to find a B class car that is toward the bottom of the B class limit, like low 300’s or do you start with a car that is already toward the top of the B class limit and make minor adjustments? I guess another option would be to start with a low C class and build it up to a max B class. I know choosing a car that has enough wiggle room to add tires, breaks, aero, weight reduction and suspension is pretty important. I would love to hear your strategy on building a car for a specific class.
I’m going to start by saying that, I’m still very new to the competitive side of Forza, so taking advice from me should be with a grain of salt. I’m sure there are more qualified racers out there to give you this information, but here is what I do.
For the most part, I use a Rivals replay on one of the top 250 times.
I look at their car to evaluate the following
-Tires
-Rims
-Brakes
-Roll Cage
-Suspension
-Engine sound
-Turbo/Centrifugal SC/SC
Also, don’t be afraid to experiment with different cars. That’s basically what I have been doing, and I’ve been learning a ton.
Depend on how I feel.
I pretty much never take a car too low to get it to A/S class (exemple are FWD car) because its very hard for them to compete.
And I usualy dont go for a car to close to the class i wanna go, since I like to put every “adjustable” upgrade.
Otherwise… pretty much anything goes.
Most of my B class cars are actually muscle cars from D class. Decent handle with enough power to run with most cars. I personally usually go down a class and build up a car from a lower class. sometimes that works sometimes that doesnt it all depends on the car, the build, the track, and the driver. Trial and error my friend with plenty of laps in between.
