New and old menu songs - FM update 20

Hopefully that’s actually the case, because it would only make sense at this point. It would suck for this to be a situation of them saying they added a new feature, only to either never add it or being intent on fixing it.

Hello everyone. Please vote immediately. :ballot_box_with_ballot:

For some reason I assumed we wouldn’t hear any new music until the FM3 events started. I don’t know why I assumed that.

I don’t understand music retention. With 7 weeks to cover, the roll-out could, admittedly, have been done gradually. I’ve had no communication and no response, so I’m dubious.

It’s so weird they still haven’t told us why the music isn’t played ingame yet. Maybe it’s copyright issues? But they are the owners of their own soundtrack and can do whatever they want to do with it, or isn’t that the case?

I simply don’t understand why they don’t tell us why. It’s not like the game needs it to work or something, but the lack of communication is just meh and not cool.

We’ve released the following hotfix on 19 May 2025:

Audio [All Platforms]

  • Fixed an issue where the additional soundtrack pieces – which features a mix of classic and new, original music – introduced to the music playlist in Update 20 would not play in the main menu, and neither in pre-race nor post-race scenarios.
    • Developer’s Note: The next time you launch Forza Motorsport after downloading the hotfix, you will hear music from Forza Motorsport 3, 4, 5 and 6 as the first 5 music sets you hear in the game.
    • You will then hear one of the 3 new music sets. Once all 20 of the updated pieces have been played, the game will shuffle all songs and repeat.
