Needing newer cars?

as I’m sure you lot would like newer cars for DLC instead of crap and so would I so why cant turn 10 give us these newer models instead. all I have seen Is maybe 1 or 2 car packs that actually make me want to play with the cars. whats your thoughts on the DLC we have been getting and would you like to see newer models or newer cars in future DLCS

They’re never going to please everyone with every car in DLC packs. If a set of 7 2015 cars came out there’d almost certainly be post on here from someone who “doesn’t care about new cars”. Think of the car packs as a selection box, a mix with a little bit of something designed to appeal to a lot of different tastes.

As a huge car nerd its been great to discover some vehicles, such as the Aussie cars that are so obscure in the UK, that I never knew existed!

Different people like different things.

For every person that is excited about the McLaren MP4/4, there is somebody who’d rather Turn 10 put a limo in the game.

You can please some of the people some of the time, but can’t please all of them all of the time.

Uhm I don’t care much about new cars, there are plenty already and they are boring and too easy to drive! Give us nice classics instead. Detomasso Pantera for example!!!

Turn 10 has continually tried to increase the variety of cars available in the game. I enjoy seeing cars from all eras, and Forza 6 has the widest spectrum of cars ever seen in a car racing game, from 1939 all the way to 2017!

The list of new cars (cars produced in the last five to six years) is the highest it has been since Forza 4. The highest “new car” total seen in a Forza game was Forza 4, which had over 200 cars from the same 6 year span (2006 - 2012) Forza 6, by comparison has over 160 cars from 2010 to 2016)

that’s fair enough each to there own but I see more excitement out of newer cars then the olders cars just hope turn 10 can atleast do half and half so they could do 3 new cas and 2 or 3 old cars in a pack and atm I’m not liking the mix that there doing I think sometimes certain DLC aint for everybody

In the Polo DLC, 4 out of the 7 cars were 2013or later models. Mobil-1 had 2 newer cars, EBay was 3, Logitech was also 3. So I don’t know if it’s really fair to say that T10 isn’t giving us newer cars.

Most of the modern production cars that I want are already in the game (minus Porsche’s and a couple Fords), so I’d much rather get the great cars from the past. Personally, I’m not that interested in yet another boutique hypercar with a production run of 12, but everyone has different interests so I don’t expect every car from every pack to be tailored to my tastes.

Personally, I find newer vehicles disgusting because of excess weight that the devs replicate on them. Opinion aside, you have to remember that they still have to pay for use of the cars in their game (model, specs, names, brand etc.). It’s all business.

Similar to PJ’s post, there are people that want ultra-new cars, like, say, a BMW i8, Ferrari 488 GTB, or a Dodge Charger Hellcat, but there are also people that want some oddball cars or older cars.

The tastes of the users of this forum are very different. Of course we do have people who want a swarm of supercars from 2015 and 2016, but then we have people who want older cars that go all the way back to the dawn of the automobile age.
