Just as the title says, Ive been working on a friends, dads rally/track scooby 22b. Ive been trying to fine tune it for A class (trying to hit 400hp, stock motor) but I get stomped on the top speed, braking could be better but im trying to drive a little more of engine braking like his dad does, carry more speed through the turns like ive been able to. Turning wise, Its okay but it definately could be better, but im not quite sure, I just cant keep up in A class. Id really like to make up my own tune, rather than downloading someone elses but if anyone wants to give some circuit tuning advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
Im even down (because online lobbies are chaos) If anyone wants some clean track racing, GT: TrippyHippieLab
If needed, Ill post my tune below as soon as we finish this episode of from dusk til dawn ![]()
I know im running about 22 psi on race tires, 245s maybe on front and back? I know Ive got +4 (or 3) front camber, -4 rear camber (if im not mistaken) Toe in is i believe front and back +3, caster is around 4.5. Running stiff springs, car isnt slammed all the way, but lowered some. (little more than half way). Ive probably messed up my gear ratios but ive got it setup for the quickest 0-60 times. launch is ok, still wants to stall unless i double clotch and get a good launch, acceleration is almost great but could be better. Im pretty sure my bump stiffness is around 9 in front, 9 or 8ish in rear, rebound is around the same, maybe 8.5 front and 8 in rear? (ill check in a few) and the diff is at about 55accel/30ishdecel in the front. 65ish or maybe 70 accel in rear/30ish decel.
Im no master tuner by any means, I only really drift tune but a few of my track cars have done well so i tried tuning from those, But ive never tuned AWD before.
thanks in advance!
ok, online now, and this is the current tune, if someone can help me alter this, or run it though the forza tune app, I havent been able to get it yet.
Tire pressure 23.0 front, 23.0 rear.
Gearing, Final Drive - 4.41, First- 3.27, Second- 2.11, Third- 1.48, Fourth- 1.21, Fifth- 1.03, Sixth- 0.77

Springs- Front 753.4, Rear 713.8
Ride Height front and rear both 4.7inches
Rebound Stiffness-Front 9.0, Rear 8.5.
Bump Stiffness front 8.4, Rear 8.1

Would love some help with this, thanks in advance
trying to keep 400hp(can do in a class) just need to fine tune but everything ive tried, has made it worse, Id rather not keep making my tunes worse and worse
haha. Thanks in advance!!
So, i am going to try this out per your settings, yet, I must tell you that these are way off from what I would use. Thus, we might have a completely different driving style. Instead of trying to tweak your tune, I will come up with my own tune for the build you have “as-is”.
Is there any particular reason you set your build that way? (i.e. is it per a league requirement as to not have certain parts?) I you have no constraints, then, my build would also look very different.
.
Wow ok, ill take a look when I’m home from work but as Prkid has said those setting are way off of what I’d use. I’ll give it a go when I get back though…
First thing that jumps out though is it looks way too stiff…
I know you said you didn’t want it built and tuned for you so if you can answer Prkid questions we can start to look at it for what it is.
Running A 700, 405hp, 366 lb-ft torque, weight is at 2,720 lbs, 55% front weight distribution.
Parts list are race intake, Sport Fuel system, race ignition, race exhaust, sport camshaft, sport pistons, race intercooler, race oil, race flywheel.
Sport brakes, Race springs, race anti roll bars front and rear, roll cage(because replica), Sport weight reduction.
All race drivetrain parts, Race tires, 245 front width, 275 rear width.
No conversions.
I got your weight stats, and A700, yet, had to use the Sport Driveline and not the Race Driveline. Is that correct? Thanks!

I have an “a700 grip” tune shared which you can check out (if you’d like to do so) and see if it fits your driving style. In addition, I have another A700 w/Race Trans not shared at the moment due to tune sharing limit. I will also load your tune to see, then, compare.

…forgot to ask, what tracks are you running this 22B at? Thanks!

Trying this now!
Take a look above, the tune ive got at the moment is posted, aswell as shared. It works pretty decent for not knowing exactly what im doing tuning wise. On forza 2-4, before i lost my old account, I used to track and drift tune, but its a completely different experience in FM6.
Ill report back how your flash tune compares to what im running.
And, I only run ABS and braking line(until I get used to the A class track lines/speed) and of course since its online, i cant run simulation like id like. My car dies first turn, garenteed xD Oh the joys of not having people online who race seriously ![]()
.
I see that Rabbits took a look at a base tune for you, and a pretty darn one may I add! These are closer to what I’d recommend as well.
Potential adds to what Rabbits has above would/could be: (1) a tad bit higher Rebound and lower Bump, and, (2) Diff at about Front 40/5, Rear 55/20, with a 65-to-70 split
Hope these inputs help you out.

Negated about 5 and added in rebound in bump, also running the diff setup, with 70 split, turns in a little better and will hold it through the turns slightly better now. I believe now is left is the gearing, pull out as much speed as i can from this. I jump off the line but start getting passed within 3rd gear
If you want help with the gearing on AWD cars speak to JCfreeman, he specialises in drag cars and should be able to help you get a good gearing set up to make the most of the power.
As for my tune, I haven’t driven AWD on any forza and haven’t driven a scoob since FM3 so I created the flash tune (base set up) using the numbers you posted above.
Can you elaborate on what it’s doing or not doing for you?? Something to think about with bump and rebound is the higher the bump the lower the rebound. Bump slows the rate at which your springs compress and limits compression to a point, rebound forces the decompression and if too stiff will launch the car into the air over curbs and make it skittish.
If you can post the current set up with the changes you’ve made I’d really like to take a look at them.
Rabbits
Appologies for the lack of replies. Ive been working on this tune more and more but in A class online, its a little lacking in speed, but it more than makes up for in cornering. I used the U2SC forza tuning calculator to get a base tune with what I was running. This is what ive come up with, on my shared tune. It works pretty decent, like i said lacking in top speed, but acceding in turning and definately off the line acceleration. It could use some tweaking thats for sure, its definately not the best. I like to brake aswell more of engine braking, downshift and let my car slow itself down rather than hard on the brakes like I see alot in online lobbies. Alot of the time, the car ahead will brake, Ill downshift, tap my brakes and rev match, and usually pull atleast up to passing them or close in the turn. Yet once we exit the turn, the acceleration is usually not enough at higher speeds.
Ill post the build below
Appologies again for not replying soon enough!

Originally from this. This was much better than the tune i first posted with this thread.
after testing rabbits flash tune, 2nd place on the first race. it drives good, turns in well and handles great but its super close feeling to my tune, minus the fact that this likes to lose traction a little more on decelerating but it works! Going to test it a few more times, possibly mess with the gearing. i had the rev limit set on the tuner i used for 8k but this is about 8.5k so it might make a difference, plus tune for a little more top end speed, since the acceleration is already there
Could definately use a little improvement in the acceleration out of turns, Its almost like on the previous tune, I could accelerate and there was a gap of almost no traction then it would hook up and turn in real sharp, this is like i cant hold as much throttle through turns, and exiting them when i have a clear line, full throttle wont always keep me on the track, gripped to the apex’s, the last two i was running a little wide on a few turns.
As of now im running this from the other tune i had figured up, that i posted today, the tune a class that is shared, 405hp
Front and Rear tire pressure- 28.5 PSi.
Final drive - 3.38, 1st - 3.89, 2nd - 2.56, 3rd - 1.91, 4th - 1.52, 5th - 1.26, 6th - 1.08.
Front camber -0.5, Rear camber -0.2, front toe, rear toe both 0.0, caster 6.4.
anti roll bars front 27.6., rear 22.9.
Front springs 582.9, rear springs 554.6, ride height front 4.5inch, rear 4.3inch.
front rebound 5.5, rear rebound 6.1, front bump 8.1, rear bump 7.7.
braking 51% front, 100% pressure.
Front Accel 40% - Decel 5%, Rear accel 55% - Decel 20%, 70% rear balance.
As far as what its doing and not doing, Right now its with the gearing, the acceleration is fine just the overall top speed, and after 2nd gear, I just lose power, get passed, but thats scoob problems lol. According to the friend who drives/rides in the build im building, he would know
He says he has it like on forza with me, I have good turning, can take turns faster, downshift and engine braking work wonders, just it feels like its missing something. probably just something in the gearing, like i said before I used the U2SC forza tune calculator for the base tune, Ill put a higher rpm limit since im not running stock camshaft. That may help, if not, ill talk to him for sure about gearing.
It could definately turn in, and exit smoother, without having to fight so much with the throttle. That and the braking could be better but i fixed that a little with the ride height adjustment.
