Hello, I am a long time PC Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport player. I have enjoyed playing these games a lot and love to do so to this day. I love the car handling and the overall visual + audio feedback, I like to cruise a lot especially in Forza Motorsport on tracks like the Spa and Nürburgring.
Unfortunately, I am bound to use a keyboard and mouse to do so, and that means using keys that only give a binary 0/1 input to the game, meaning if I want to turn my car, I either turn 100% or 0%. This feature limits my ability and experience to truly enjoy what makes these games great in a way, as I have to keep repeat-pressing turn keys to turn, and that causes unstable turning angles, especially at shallow curves and turns.
I have tried various “external” and “unofficial” (not rule breaking) methods to emulate my mouse movement as a controller turning the left/right sticks, or the turning of a gaming steering wheel, for smooth and precise analog movement. Unfortunately, none of these methods seem to be reliable as 1) Controller emulation keeps re-centering the steering each time I turn, and that causes the mouse cursor to be stuck on screen borders, causing the steering to jam and me crashing and 2) Emulating steering controls does not re-center the steering but causes unexpected sharp turns and immediate maximum turn inputs, causing the car to turn and crash. Trust me, I tried a lot of different settings, a lot of different apps, nothing seems to work, maybe a compatibility issue with how the game perceives mouse movement, from what I can observe (Fullscreen or Windowed, does not matter).
So, I want to request the talented Forza Motorsport team, to kindly add an accessibility feature regarding mouse movement to be read/binded as steering controls (in keyboard + mouse mode), this feature would really help me and thousands of more players to enjoy this game to the fullest, as I really like investing my time having a great cruising experience. This feature would only elevate mine and other players’ experience, and make the game accessible to a lot more people who have issues regarding this same feature.
