can some one help me cause i got on one day and it takes me to the begining . some one help im on xbox one
im having the same problem, ive lost everything and have to do the first race again every time I load up forza …
Did you even bother reading this thread?
didnt happen to not let the sync finish and play offline did you…you must wait for sync to fully finish otherwise this sort of thing happens…and yes it can take hours on this game, same as Forza 5
i spent 4 hrs yesterday waiting for both games to fully sync for this exact reason
Been loading for nearly 3 hours now. It’s tough, but I’ll be patient.
I don’t know which is worse - not knowing how long this will take, or having my wife switch the TV to figure skating to pass the time…
Edit: 5 hours and counting of “Loading. … Please Wait”
I always say it helps to know how big your file is.
When the game syncs, it does not simply append your latest accomplishments to your save file. That’s simply not how this kind of thing works. What the system does is replace the existing copy with a whole new copy. This is also why the process takes a while. If you have a 60 MB file size and buy a lot of cars and tunes and suddenly have to sync an 80MB file, you are not adding 20 MB. You are deleting a 60 MB file and replacing it with an 80 MB file.
If you know how large your file size is, you can keep track of it during the sync to get an idea of how long it may take. It is the only thing I suggest doing while it syncs. From the syncing screen, dashboard, and select FH2 and manage game - there you can see your file size. As the sync takes place, that size will grow. Once you check the size, return the to syncing screen and continue waiting.
Another thing to help is to make sure you quit. If you quit the game, much of this syncing can actually take place while your console if in standby mode. If you completely turn your console off it won’t happen, but if you use instant on mode - it will. However, this only works if the game has been quit from. To do this, dashboard from the game, go to the menu, and select QUIT. If you leave the game running, your file is still open and the game is accessing it - this prevents the sync from being able to take place and may also cause additional game save issues upon the console powering on, restarting the game, and attempting to reach the cloud.
OK, 37.7 GB. Patience grasshopper.
So in theory, if I check back in a while, the number should be different?
Edit: Back in business! Did the “unplug from the wall” deal once more and it worked this time.
