FH2 sync stuck at 100%

Hi, does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

I have had this problem since the start of the year, performed all the updates etc, deleted & re-installed the game etc, deleted & re-installed my profile etc, tried different internet connections, nothing works!

Contacted xbox support who could not assist and directed me here.

My sync time is approx 1 hour before it fails, 39Mb, 137 cars, 55% game completion.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

Some people have mentioned that when the sync says failed to complete, they click on continue sync rather than cancel and it has worked for some

I had the same problem. I’ll see if I can find the old thread to bump it up here. You have to let it finish. I took me much longer than an hour to sync.

when you say it fails what do you mean?

If it looks frozen ignore it and let it finish. It may take hours.

Don’t do anything unless an error message appears.

Let it run, if you can.

Mine was stuck on sync for about 3 hours, then froze on 100% for what must have been an hour. Then others wished to use said console.
Went on today, it’s started from the beginning and I have lost everything, VIP gifts and all. Gutted isn’t the word.

Sometimes letting it do it’s thing isn’t an option, when you have a shared console.

I also have the same issue on Forza 5, am dreading going back to that in case that has reset itself too.

I can’t believe the cloud save is so big it takes hours to sync on a 40MBps optical connection??

Hoping this sync issue gets sorted, or I’m gonna think twice about 6.

40 mbps is pretty slow, my wireless is 65, and my hardline is 100…I find wireless even at 65 is not sufficient for the forza games

Let is sync until it finishes naturally - do not use the console, do not cancel, do not turn it off, just let it load and finishnaturally.

As for your connection, this actually has little to do with your internet speeds. It has more to do with the intent and limitations of the Xbox One Console and their network. If you look at almost every Xbox One game on the market the average file size is in the range of 3 - 10 MB. There are two outliers in this group of data - FM5 and FH2 - whose file sizes are on average 60 - 100 MB with some going as high as 250 MB. The console an cloud design was intended to work with those smaller file sizes and has not been optimized for the Forza files and so it takes a while.

This is not so much an issue Turn10 themselves can address outside of any pressure applied to Microsoft and the Xbox One team. What we the customer can do is continually pressure Microsoft and Xbox Customer Support to make changes because their system is inadequate to handle the products they put out. Only then is there a chance changes will be made.

I have had to do a full sync on a dedicated 12 MB line, a 65 MB line, and a 100 MB line and it has not made a difference as to the time it took the sync to complete - they were all around the 75 minute mark.

Hi

Ok, cleared that game save data again and left it to sync today at 1pm. Just got back in 6pm and this error message was displayed. "Load failed - an unknown error has occurred, please try again later.

I have clicked a to retry and the sync is frozen at 99%. After this point it’s normally gives up and starts the game as if I was starting the game for the first time.

I’m using fibre BB and Asus router . Tested and connection is good.

Does anyone know how to contact turn10 support directly?
