My Xbox was replaced today. On °SYNCING DATA° Its been 20 min. And its stuck and wont do anything on 100 percent. Anyone know what I should do?
It may take well over an hour…don’t touch it let it finish
Full resyncs when replacing xboxes can take forever with Forza games.
It will look like its frozen, it will also look that way when it moves on to the loading screen.
Just let it finish - go and do somehting for an hour or more and come back.
It did the same thing with me bro I had to cancel it and go to manage game and install any dlc you have first before starting up the game. Try this and it should work and as other people are saying it does take a while depending on how many upgraded cars you had in your garage and how much game progress you had.
DO NOT CANCEL IT.
LET IT FINISH.
Did the sync finish ok for you in the end?
As SitNiteEduardo states, it’s a good idea never to quit out of the syncing process whilst it’s still running.
Wow. Does no one use the search feature anymore? We have one on these forums for a reason - there’s also this GIANT search feature called GOOGLE.
Use it!
The sync can take a long time - best bet - wait until it’s done and do something else it may take a while. Also, it’s good to know how big your game data file size is so when you do ave to sync, you can check that file size in the My Games & Apps icon and see how much data is actually left to sync.
Also, since we’re in the Microsoft realm, BING! can also supply answers. But the OP has received answers before being chastised.
What if it won’t start to sync? Every time I load up it says it’s syncing but never actually starts. The only information I could find is to delete your console save and use the cloud data instead but if I do that I lose 2 months worth of play including finishing the Storm Island DLC plus any cars and money I’ve gotten. Something I’m not prepared to do.
EDIT: Nevermind. The latest update must have done something because it finally decided to sync after about 5 minutes of waiting. Prior to the update I had let it try to sync for hours without success.
Start it syncing and walk away. Come back 2 hours later.
Unbelievable I lost all my data… It was taking a while to sync so canceled it. Now it started all over again and the data overwrote my previous data so I have to start from zero… I am so pissed off.
If you get this problem just let it sync for as long as it might take trust me you will regret not doing so!
Did you not read this thread?
Everyone says, do not touch it, leave it alone, do not cancel it. And it’s not just this thread. It may take a long time, even if it looks like it is not doing anything, leave it be - it is working just fine. Did you think that everyone was saying this but they didn’t mean it? It’s in every “Help I lost my data thread”.
It sucks you lost your data though. On the bright side, it’s a really fun game to play.
same for me, haven’t been able to use it since thurs/friday… eventually get’s stuck at 99%… and i mean eventually!! tried clearing cache and all the nonsense they tell you, nothing… still doesn’t work. I’m also getting a horrible ping on the xbone console, up to 500ms latency, normal is ~40ms on the console for me… depending on the day of the week… right now it’s coming in at 90ms which is still awful!! (all my other devices ping at 16ms to a good server)
Not sure why, but after a few fails I decided to cancel sync and go into offline mode (which for the first time actually worked for me) and then exited the game and restarted. Synced instantly on reboot…
Sounds strange Outlier. I just returned from work, plugged my game into my second console and it synced right up - it took 15 minutes - but it worked.
If you are getting long ping times on your console and you have also tried offline mode, clearing cache, and doing a full power cycle might I suggest you try the following things.
Go to your Xbox One settings, then the network tab, then select “Advanced Settings” and scroll to the alternate MAC address, clear MAC address or New MAC address. Select this option and follow the steps.
I would also recommend you do a power cycle on your internet modem/router. If you don’t do this with mild frequency it may be a source of some of these problems. I recommend rebooting your wireless gateway a couple times a month. You don’t have to do a factory reset, simply pull the power, unplug everything, and wait a couple minutes. Then plug back in the power cable and let everything connect and turn on. Once done, plug in all he cables again.
It’s working now, this seems to happen everytime social gaming goes down (which is a lot), if you happen to try and loging during one of these issues it causes some error in either the cache network or system or the profile saved on the console itself or whatever, it seems to be different for every person…
But clearing the network cache and logging into offline mode and then exiting the game and performing a full power down reboot seems to be the means for a fix, xbox will tell you to remove and reload your profile, just don’t!!! The other steps are all it should take.
That’s good to now. Thanks for the heads up.
This was instructions given to me by a Xbox suppourt agent, and it fixed the issue 100%
- Settings > Network > Go Offline
- Restart Xbox One from the Menu
- After the restart, sign out of your profile if auto sign in is enabled
- Settings > Network > Go Online
- Launch the game and it will ask who you are, so have the customer select their profile
