What is “My Rivals” all about anyways?

In Forza Horizon 4 I figured it was an abandoned feature - in the year I had the game the thing was always empty.

Now - Its back in Forza Horizon 5 and still just as empty.

This whole Rivals minigame really needs a massive overhaul anyway - and completely didn’t get it. ~80 tracks with 7 class leaderboards each, and no way to quickly jump to one where I havn’t set a time yet. Why isn’t there some kind of “Rival Roulette” that will just keep cycling me to a new random rivals matchup.

Urgh this is so half hearted right now.

That would be if someone on your friends list beats one of your times, you get a notification about it there.

Now if only there was some way to see the inverse: See which rivals races I have friends who have even set times.
