I’m sorry to post this but I am really desperate not to lose all my progress, I have played on PC and Xbox one x and my phone. I have had this code come up a few times and it has always fixed by switching to a different device. This time no Joy and all I am missing car wise is a few Pre order cars.
My question is there anything I can try to get my progress back as I have spent so many hours getting to the levels that I did to have to redo that is just soul destroying.
I have read through as many posts as I can but it all seems to point to restarting, has anyone got any tips; please
Forza profile is no longer available with an error code or an Invalid Profile.
For PC players on Windows 10 Pro only : if you know your way around your PC, you can try deleting the \AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs folder on your local hard drive. After doing so, please reboot the computer and then restart the game. You should then be able to sync and play again.
If that does not work for you, or if you are playing on any other platform, please try the following:
Fully close the game. (more info on how to do this here).
Ensure your Xbox or PC’s internet connection is functioning correctly.
Restart the game.
After pressing A or ENTER on the welcome screen wait for the sync to complete. This could take a long time, but it is important to be patient.
If the same error message continues to appear after fully restarting the game, try the following troubleshooting:
Fully close the game. (more info on how to do this here).
Ensure your Xbox or PC’s internet connection is functioning correctly.
Delete the local console save data
Follow the steps from this article for how to delete saves.
Select ‘Delete from Console’.
For PC try the following:
Go to your Windows 10 Settings → Storage → Apps & games -->Forza -->Advanced Options -->Select the “Reset” button.
Restart the game.
After pressing A on the welcome screen wait for the sync to complete. This could take a long time, but it is important to be patient.

Delete your save from everywhere
*Please note that this will wipe your save from everywhere and you will be starting fresh. There is no way to recover your old save.
Please follow these steps based on your device: You do not need to do both devices. If you have an Xbox, its easier to do it there.
How to delete your save from everywhere on Xbox
On Home, select My games and apps.
Highlight the game, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game.
In the menu on the left of the screen, scroll down to Saved Data, then highlight the saved data for your gamertag on the right and press the A button on your controller.
You’ll be prompted to confirm deletion of this game save data: (You need to select Delete Everywhere in order for this to work)
*Delete from console - removes the local copy of this save. You can get it from the cloud the next time you play.
*Delete everywhere - removes your saved data from this console, the cloud, and all other consoles you play on.
*Cancel - leaves your data intact.

I’ve tried several of the W10 fixes on my laptop with varying degrees of success. I don’t know whether these will fix your issue. It might be best to go to support, explain the situation, and see whether they can unlock your missing cars for you.
I was prestige 6 a month ago, and now I’m prestige 1. I had over 25,000 Forzathon points, albeit with little to spend them on. All that effort to be reset to zero. Sigh.
Thanks for the suggestions, I have done the deleting of game saves and I have also deleted the whole game and re installed. This has happened several times but i have always managed to get it back by going back to a different device. I fear all the effort has been rendered void. I don’t know if I really want to go through it all over again, I think i will wait for the support ticket to come back, Shame I had just got one of my missing cars as well.
Ok so this afternoon I deleted the saved game and played offline, I then went back online after getting to level 20 and unlocking all the the ability to do Forzathon’s. closed down the game and then went back on online and tried syncing the old account and still the same error code.
Have I tried everything?
First thing I did was submit a support request and then I have tried the following steps,
Logged on from a different device PC, 2 different Xbox’s and my mobile
deleted save game and re-synced
deleted full game including game save and reinstalled
deleted save game and played offline up to level 20 and then logged back into the game online.
Nothing has cleared this fault and although I have seen some guidance about deleting my game save on the cloud too i am really reluctant to do this until I know for sure it is definitely gone.
Can anyone give me any hope at all or is it just better to bite the bullet and get started on a new account?
I had exactly the same thing some months ago. I managed it loading up a backup into the cloud. I played since then everyday and got a permaban last week. After 3 supporttickets understanding “why i got the ban” it seems like they blocked me, because i cant login on the support site… dafuq?
Is this the thing they treat their customers? I mean come on getting banned for a gameerror is scandalous.
The same. I thing the problem is connected with new actualisation. I had te same when FH4 introduced 7 series on december.
Lyra C. gave me back inventory, but without compenstaion ( I was close to finish star cards). Nowday I have the same problem made in the day of new patch (it is problem of game not my computer. Maybe connected with language pack or sth).
In addition now Lyra C. do not response on my problem ticket, because last time I want compensation for my wasted time.
Time play Cyberpunk 2077, wich has less bugs.
Do somebady has eny ideas how manually change corrupted files or change support staff?
I heard backing up your saves invalidates your original save. Because of this, I use my Xbox as a back up save for my PC. After support telling me to delete my progress because my save is corrupted, I manged to restore to a much older save by loading the game on my Xbox offline, connecting online, saving game by changing settings, then I quit, log back in on pc, use the broken cloud sync, if it doesn’t work I repeat the process until it does actually sync. Now I sync my PC game on Xbox using the same method every time I finish playing on PC. My Xbox is basically the world’s largest memory card for a single game because the devs are too incompetent to have a functioning cloud sync or even a safe way to physically transfer saves.
Mad how they just insist you start again when the problem is actually easily rectified. Actually a disgusting excuse for “support”.
What’s your experience with how long support takes to restore cars, credits, etc.?
Had all cars in game (multiples made it 800+) minus dlc cars, plus about 300M creds and several dozen wheel and super spins.
Funny thing is I have about 9 auctions that ended with cars that did not sell I can still see, but can’t reclaim the cars.
Was pretty miffed at first, but love the game so I can forgive.
I had max credits, and almost all cars, and had that E-47 problem. After deleting game data, and (very slowly) syncing from the cloud (it’s always a very long time do download data from xbox services. unfortunatelly), cloud data were also corrupted. I’ve tried some file debugging, but ended up opening a ticket, IN THE HOPE they could do something to restore my progress.
When opening a ticket, I opened it specifying saved data problem, and somewhere in ticket page it said that support wouldn’t be able to restore user progress. Probably I would then open a ticket only to be able to start the game from scratch (a thing most players can accomplish without the need of any support).
But I thought support could do something to everyone, as I remember some famous youtube person had lost the progress, and this person got a credits compensation to buy all (possible to buy) cars.
Fortunatelly (or not, in your case), I had done some backup months later, so the only things I had to recover were hard to find cars, because when I restored that old backup, game synced some some newer things (like my tunes). I’ve already recovered cars doing festival playlists. The only current problem (not a big deal) is some thumbnails are missing from cars I’ve modified, but this one is easy to fix: it only takes doing some modification in the affected car, and game will generate an updated thumbnail.
I got this msg a week ago on desktop, backed up everything (desktop and laptop), started the game from laptop, as it had a day older save. Sync asked me which one I want: newer from cloud or older from laptop, picked older, it uploaded it and all was back to normal in world of Forza :).
I got the Error E:47-0 described here after my computer rebooted while I was still in game:
I followed the instructions here (deleted my local save; disconnected the internet, started a new game and new local save, reconnected, and resynched with the cloud) and I still get the error.
In addition to that, even if I start over with a new local save and reach the point that online mode becomes available (qualify for Autumn and complete the 1st event at Tarn Hows), I still can’t connect online (I always get an “server error” telling me to “try again later”) - so at this point, online mode is completely unavailable to me.
Does anyone have any ideas here? Such as the game falsely detecting hacks/cheats or something? If the computer restarting can completely lock you out of your profile and online play, that is pretty poor design and quite frustrating.
I have a theory about this issue on PC and perhaps how to prevent it.
My theory is that it’s caused by updates to W10 or to the xbox app or the console companion or the xbox game bar.
When we had some updates just recently, I checked the xbox app. I’d been logged out; I logged back in. When I checked the console companion and my profile on it, I got a message saying that because of my previous behaviour etc. (Me: What?! Driving badly in Horizon 4?) until a few moments later, I was back on again. I also checked the game bar (Windows key + g) to make sure that registered me as being online.
Right now, when I’m intending to play FH4, I check all three of these first, and sometimes the MS shop to see if there are any updates.
I don’t know whether this also applies to anyone playing the game on an xbox, or whether this might entirely prevent E:47-0 from happening, but it seems better to try and stop it before it starts because the cure is a tedious nuisance, especially when syncs are taking four to eight+ hours and often ending with a “failed sync” message (but everything seems all right when you choose the “play offline” option).
Sad to say, this won’t immediately help anyone who’s here looking for a solution to E:47-0, but I hope this might help prevent the rest of us being at risk of losing progress.
I keep getting an “Invalid Profile” page whenever I load into forza on my PC or xbox. I’ve followed through all of the troubleshooting step for both platforms and nothing happens. Please help and let me know if there is anything i can do to fix it. [Mod Edit - personally identifying information is removed for security and privacy.
